‘We failed’: Secret Service boss makes major admission about Trump assassination attempt

- US Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle has given her opening statement as the House Oversight Committee holds a hearing into the assassination attempt on Donald Trump.
Ms Cheatle conceded in her opening statement the shooting at Mr Trump’s Pennsylvania rally is “the most significant operational failure” of the Secret Service in decades.
“The Secret Service’s ... mission is to protect our nation’s leaders - on July 13th, we failed,” she told the committee.
A man lost his life because of this outrageous incompetence and she does not think she should tender her immediate resignation. She as the Director should voluntarily resign at the very least out of respect to the injured and the man who lost his life and out of respect for his family. It is only by the grace of God President Trump was not killed.
Intelligent conspirators know walking away from a cover-up is not possible when secrets need hiding... Cheadle will not resign until all the skeletons are buried deep in the fed closet.🐸

YOU answer to THEM, and WE are who THEY elected to hold YOU accountable. The secret service and like agencies have only failed presidents 6 times in 250 years. There is no possible case or duty in your office that is more important for you to focus on than this one. This case deals with the very reason your job exists. There is NO excuse for you to be unprepared, and if you don't know that, then you are incompetent to the level of criminal negigence and dereliction of duty. Now, there are only 4 acceptable answers for you to give the American people today: "Yes", "No", the fact requested (numbers, dates, places, people), and "I will have to answer you in closed session directly after this." Anything else will result in immediate charges for contempt of Congress, and result in whatever action is necessary to have you removed."

The level of institutionalised incompetence here, is unparalleled. The failure of the command and control structure and the absence of clear SMEAC, the complete failure of the EW anti-drone measures are hard to fathom - to such a degree, the level of negligence nearly enabled a potential outcome that many Democrats support.
