You were the first mtg youtuber I watched when I was playing duels before I had arena and I always loved your decks. After watching several others since I find that you still have to most unique well thought out solid decks I’ve seen. Keep up the great work I always look forward to your next ideas!
I love the small stories that play out in the fantasy of the game as a match progresses , like this one : “Your Go” said Tibalt, smirking , viciously hiding a lightning helix ready to be cast . Little did he know that the fierce Man-Lion had seen right through his ruse and that he was about to be pummeled into the ground by a giant vampire blessed by the god of the sun.
I like the Innkeeper + Roper + Gond combo, because it's super easy to play out the infinite combo in Arena. It's just one click per cycle. No having to mess around with complex, repetitive clicks, or assigning targets. It just works.
You could maybe splash red to put "first day of class", a red strixhaven 2 mana instant that says: Whenever a creature enters the battlefield under your control this turn, put a +1/+1 counter on it and it gains haste until end of turn.
There's also a Birgi + Grinning Ignus + Innkeeper infinite lifegain combo in standard that SBMTG did a video on. Naya Triple-Infinite-Lifegain combo deck lol
Maybe it’s anecdotal but when I built a scurry oak + Heliod + insert life gain on creature enters the battlefield I found myself facing a lot more decks with infinite combos
@@UlfMTG sure you can, i’m just talking about after the massive board has been built and lvd is tapped out and needing to untap in order to attack with his massive board
I have gotten very far with this deck. I ran into a lot of board wipers, so I added Aetherflux Reservoir. Sometimes, I ran into duplicate decks. Not sure what to do with those.
Literally, the only current combination I can think of that is in standard right now that can truly save someone from this decks perfect draw and put them even with this deck is if the do: turn 1 then untapped creature, turn 2 foretell doomskar, and turn 3 use doomskar. Aside from counters, obviously.
Have to star playing Historic soon! But first I've to skill myself on Standard first. Love your video and your content! I'm learning to speak better English also watching your videos 😊
Just make the Scurry oak combo deck after i got screwed up during last FNM, paired so well with any +1/+1 giver. My favorite is using Cathar Crusade or Kor Celebrant and Paladin Class.
reeallly luv your vid, i did an historic ooze deck really fun but i couldnt find any good video on an ooze deck either in play or ranked it would be really interesting ti see what u could build with ooze tribal in mind
So i am fairly new and i dont have the wildcards to build Collected Company and missing 2 Heliods. is there a way to make this deck work or other options to sub out?
i dont play arena but love watching your videos... by chance is force of despair available in historic? i know they printed some of the modern horizons cards, though not sure which ones.
fun deck, but try swapping out some of the life gaining ETB trigger creatures with ajani's welcome, harder to get rid of an enchantment. i found the creatures become instant targets and harder to keep on board.
This is one of the few things i find honorable about yugioh, infinite loops arent allowed, and modern cards are printed with the text, "this effect can only take place one per turn" The downside is, this doesnt prevent players from playing every card in their deck on their first turn. So, thats still broken.
LVD: now we need a life gain engine Me: yeah I wonder what he’ll need to trigger that… so many options LVD: mentions soul warden Me: (finally getting the “infinite” part) ouchhhhh that’s mean
LVD: We can play Jegantha as a companion because it is a free roll. Me: Sure, sounds nice. LVD: Although it adds the red symbol to the box. Me: Isnt that a bonus?
Wow, I think I like this kind of magic more than Izzet Dragons and Infinite turns, as well as the grindy Blood on the Snow decks that new players have no chance of beating. At least it's fast! And demands knowledge of every other deck, as well as your own. Whoever combos first, wins. Seems like a cheap deck to make too.
All I'll say is you gotta hate that matchmaking. Hearthstone has it and arena has it. You make a deck and get countered when you play but good show lvd
I actually quit this game because I got so sick and tired of playing vs life gain decks every single match. No joke, 90% of people in standard play life gain and nothing else.
Everybody gansta till LVD finds himself in an interesting spot
LMAO best comment! xD
Lol nice
😂😂😂
Me 20 min into a mtg game: "What is my opponent playing?"
LVD when the opponent plays their first land: "I know every card in your deck."
literally so true lol
Reminds me of the easy wins I got back when rogue decks were all the rage: me on the play, drop temple of deceit tapped - opponent scoops

God that triggers me so much
The fact that the guy tapped out for card draw spells against an obvious combo deck and made it to mythic shows just how powerful jeskai control is
Your commentary/narration keeps me coming back for every video. Excellent content sir. Thank you!

yeah those one 1 per cycle combos are pretty satisfying
The innkeeper and lurker/gond combo could also go with aetherflux reservoir and finish the game that same turn if the opponent doesnt explode :)
Yes!!!! More historic content! I love it! Keep up the amazing work Luca! Take care of yourself c:
Frustrating the client doesn't support looping
Yeah I wish you could input "Do this 250 times" and then just pick up with the stack as if it was all resolved.
They are worried about people's clients crashing.
Match 6 was pretty cool! Very close game against a very skilled opponent.

LVD: I know all the decks you're going to play for the next 10 years
There needs to be a "NOT your go" or "NEVER your go" when your infinite combo goes off.
thats a great deck, i'd love to see more historic content. And surprisingly cheap to build in arena. Only 16 rares and 4 mythics
I only noticed this now but the cards in the untapped deck tracker that LVD shows is Crab Tribal
You could have gone with the elevator music for this one Legend XD
I really wish Arena has a way to tell the game you were going to do something 20 time instead of having to actually click it 20 times.

Had a sunstrike legionnaire+Presence+Essence Warden back in shadowlands.

This is amazing to watch. I love it
Vanquish the horde costs 2w against these large boards that cant immediately attack right? One of the faster wraths against this deck
Good point, although haven't encountered it yet in Historic.
You can still combo at instant speed with Collected Company
@@UlfMTG sure you can, i’m just talking about after the massive board has been built and lvd is tapped out and needing to untap in order to attack with his massive board
In the last game, we could have cast Company in response to blocks and grown an unblocked creature, yeah?
I floated the Treasure mana in the previous step, so had to cast Company before it depleted.

is it a Roper who's Lurking? Is it a Lurker who's Roping? If we flipflop every single time, no one gets to know!
