    This is how this song would sound if Chris Cornell covered it! Love it man!

    Great you came back! Please, consider making music covers outside of your genre, but with your style, there are very good lyrics performed by very "plastic" artists and it would be great to hear them with this rock style that we love so much.

    Godammit. You inspire me and make me wanna never play my guitar again. You wrecked my life. Back to staring at a computer screen all day.

    This video is running in the background and I was just listening to it. and I was pretty sure it was Chris Cornell. Just great performance!

    Another great cover! It's cool to see how you've vocally progressed over the years. I especially like how your "screaming/yelling voice" has improved and it has taken a life of it's own. Nice work! 👍💯

    Great cover! Would love to hear your take on Crazy by Ray LaMontagne’s version or Creep by Radiohead.

    Does he sing with a lot of compression or does he add compression to his vocals?

    • @SterlingRJackson
      @SterlingRJackson  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Does he? Me? Or the original singer?

    • @RyanBurisch

      @@SterlingRJackson Hi Sterling, I was asking about your singing. Not original artist. I like your tone, and was wondering what effects you were adding to your vocals as it sounds quite compressed, but was also wondering if its your natural tone or if you're adding some effects? Great covers by the way.

      @@RyanBurisch Many people get confused about these topics and think some sort of magic trickery is going on with vocal recordings. My vocal chain/ processing is a medium compression for something like this and some light reverb and delay. That's all. As for vocal compression that is happening in some ways too but that takes time to learn. My natural tone is rather warm and sometimes nasal. Getting better tone mostly comes from your natural voice and finding out how to correctly "place" your voice when singing. Look up vocal placement. :)

    Great stuff brotha. Suggestion. Maybe lean into some Sam Cooke covers 👍
