    I actually really like the new scoring system. I think it give gymnasts well deserved dues for doing more difficult elements. It just makes more sense to me.

    It's fun to watch these competition for the first time and hear them talk about how and where Nastia would end up at the Olympics or winning the American Cup. And knowing the results already. She did win them all.

    Al's had 11 years practice of not understanding the Code of Points. Happy anniversary Al! 😂😂😂 Keep it up!!!
    And, Elfie already sounds disgusted when an athlete falls, "8 tenths," she scoffs!!! Let the athletes adjust to the new way of judging/CoP first!

    Marta rubbing it in each competitors face after they performed either well or badly was sickening and unprofessional. First Nastia fell then she blabbers about it like a child, then Shayla does her beam and Marta just seemed to intentionally guilt trip Nastia and mess with her head...Then finally Nastia does well on floor, suddenly she’s back in Marta’s good graces and then before the winner is even announced Marta is gloating in such a childish way in front of Shayla who was super professional and low key about it but she was probably crushed! It was just heart wrenching to watch on both of the girls parts when Marta made a fool of them. So completely unnecessary and plain mean. Why does she act like a 5 year old. Save it for when it’s not live on tv, she can criticise the after and not mess with their potential to perform. She definitely could have waited til Nastia was actually announced the winner too before congratulating her so openly 🤬

      - Front double twist becomes repeated elements (No DV)

    When Elfi says that Zamo is still competing in international competitions to "win cash", it made my skin crawl. Perhaps someone else could have said the same sentence & I wouldn't have had such a visceral reaction, but Elfi's tone/inflection/articulation/SOMETHING made my skin crawl. As I am writing this comment, Tim just said something about helping to subsidize training & living expenses. Perhaps if Elfi had articulated differently than that the girl wanted to win "cash", it would have sounded more sympathetic and less bitchy. IDK whether I, myself, am even articulating my point well :( Elfi gets a lot of hate, and I've never paid much attention to it, but I am starting to dislike her as well. If anyone made it this far and is also rubbed the wrong way by Elfi, pls respond & explain how she bothers you. I am really trying to make sense of my newfound hatred, lol.

    • @cgkitti
      @cgkitti 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Yes, I've been watching old stuff around this time period and she commented somewhere along the lines, like ripped into some girl (from Romania I think?) at a World's maybe, about not being at the same level as the rest of the athletes and was just so harsh. She could have just said that the girl was at a lower level than the others and leave it at that but she really was negative and nasty about it. I wish I could remember which one was it was, but she was just SAVAGE. It was so unnecessary. I liked Elfi when she first started but somewhere around the 2004 olympics she seemed to get really mean about things.

      Ew she really was bitchy to Zamo in this.
      “Hoping to win (cash)” Just say hoping to win!
      There were some meets from the ‘00s, ‘01s where Elfi and Al kept bringing up cash prizes and it made me cringe so much. People never bring up the money for a football team winning, why bring it up here? And why ONLY in relation to Zamo? Really makes me dislike Elfi.
