This might be my favourite series you're currently doing. I don't even like watching golf on TV but somehow watching you golf in this game is a million times more entertaining.
One of the best tools at your disposal is True Shot. By pressing and holding L1/LB, you activate True Shot, and from here you get a couple of options to refine your shot. If you are facing a protruding tree branch and need to ‘bend’ your shot, you can move the left trigger to apply draw or fade, essentially bending the curve around the obstacle so that you avoid hitting it. Not only that, but in True Shot you can adjust the angle by moving the left trigger up or down, meaning a high arch stops the ball from gliding across the fairway or putting green upon its landing. A more direct angle moves the ball further when it lands.
Golf is addicting because of how rewarding it is when you get it right. Winter is here where I live so imma pick this up at 50% off for black Friday to get my golf fix during the winter. Bring the series back Trev!!!
The only big thing this game is missing is character development. Like what happened to starting with low stats, coming through the ranks, earning skill points levelling up certain skills... really really miss that :(
when you say you are putting backspin you are actually adjusting the loft of the ball the spin is the one to the right. You can also draw/fade your shots to get around trees by moving your ballflight (loft/deloft) left and right
@TmarTn2 you do realize you can view the direction of your Putt “once” before each shot to make adjustments…? On Xbox you hold A, just varies on platform.

I was kinda surprised there wasn't any wind considering you were playing near mountains haha. Wind plays a large part in this game for sure, but you still played lights out golf, so once again, you da man.
Still can't believe you went for the driver on 3 instead of the 3-wood. I've played that hole so many times and always go 3-wood or iron to position myself. Being over aggressive cost you sometimes and there it did even though you pared it, when you could have birdied.
I Had the same problem with the stick but I started putting my controller down on my desk and keeping my controller 100% still and now I can play on pro clubs and shoot -10 pretty consistently

The left stick controls the loft of the ball while the right stick controls the spin. I still enjoy the content just figured Trev could do even better with actual backspin lol🙂👍
Hey Trev I noticed you saying its hard to keep the putts straight. I used a scuf for the first couple weeks but switched to the default controller and it makes it way easier to shoot and putt straighter! Try it out if you aren’t using the default controller
The short putts are frustrating I tend to use the pinch method when putting now it seems to be a lot straighter. My thumb always seems to wander off to the right when putting. I wish they had auto tap in when it's a yard or so off the right stick moves way too fast for short putts.
