Honestly it doesn't matter if 'Allen Peppers' story was true or not. We know the guy was in a wheelchair and probably lived a super depressing life. Imagine finally making it through the school system like that, now in the world of adults, thinking that the days of bullying are relatively behind you, and then one day, for the rest of your life, the entire world joins hands in bullying you.

More back story: Brian's photo was actually discovered when the online ohio sexual registry went live and a local radio show Rover's morning glory was browsing through the offenders and found his picture. They have talked about this a few times on the show.
I think it's funny because this guy was so dedicated he wrote out this long, heart wrenching, convincing story that tugged at the heart strings and maybe even caused quite a bit of guilt over mocking him for his appearance, then followed it up with another heart wrenching post meant to lead everyone to believe Brian had died... Only to then pull this line and reveal he'd been trolling everyone the whole time. The line in and of itself is chuckle-worthy, but putting it after everything that preceded it makes it hysterical.
The biggest hole in "Alan's" story was the little fact Brian's nurse was supposedly wearing a skirt. What year was this supposed to take place in, 1950?! Every nurse I know thinks skirts are extremely impractical for the work they do. That's why nurses stopped wearing them decades ago and moved to scrubs.

My ex-fiancé used to work as a patient transporter at a hospital in Florida. And on occasion, old ladies would grope his butt. I used to be a medical transporter in the area of the Nursing Home he lived in and his place was one of the contracted facilities. Once we had a nurse come with us to take a patient to a medical office. While en route, I asked about him. She looked a little shocked and said people would call that facility every night asking for him for years. It's died down a bit [this happened in 2018] but it doesn't get as many calls as it used to. She had no idea he was an early internet urban legend.

My ex-fiancé used to work as a patient transporter at a hospital in Florida. And on occasion, old ladies would grope his butt. I used to be a medical transporter in the area of the Nursing Home he lived in and his place was one of the contracted facilities. Once we had a nurse come with us to take a patient to a medical office. While en route, I asked about him. She looked a little shocked and said people would call that facility every night asking for him for years. It's died down a bit [this happened in 2018] but it doesn't get as many calls as it used to. She had no idea he was an early internet urban legend.
