@bicana you said that you will never raise your child in the US. This means that men in the US has ZERO chances of every being in a relationship with you?🤯🤯😭
I don’t know why some Jamaican’s see it as a negative if an individual moves back to Jamaica after living abroad. Jamaica NICE!!! 🇯🇲 keep up the good work!
Jamaica schooling is one of the best by far. I’m uk born with Jamaican parents but my older sister grew in JA and taught me so much, she basically was my math teacher. Keep going Bicana I’m proud of you 💕 #britishnurseabroad
Omg this was so great!! Yeah I’m currently in a one year plan to move back home! Sometimes I just want to book the ticket right away and come back home but I know it’ll fail if I don’t have a steady plan!
I think it’s people who have never lived abroad who always say you shouldn’t move home, because they have a idealistic picture of what living abroad is like (Some Not All looool). Now I’ve settled on the fact I’m moving home it’s only my family in Jamaica discouraging me, my family abroad are so supportive. They think I believe it’s “easy or easier” when in fact there’s no place that is easy! Every where requires hardwork and dedication. For me it’s about where will I get the value or the fruits out of hardwork and that’s Jamaica for me. Happy for you girl just keep going and don’t listen to anyone but yourself. If you do go back you can say at least you have it 100%.
Definitely!! I wish the best for you and hope you accomplish everything you aim to accomplish! Don’t let anybody especially people who never left Jamaica discourage you 😊💚🖤💛 thank you for watching

Thanks for sharing, Bicana. I think that when people haven't lived in America they don't precisely understand the things that we weigh on our minds about the decision of moving back or staying in America. I would consider moving back because I miss my country. That's where my heart is. Also, I feel like ultimately that's where I personally belong. America is tough too, to me, It's the dollar that's strong. You have to have your stuff together and have a plan and a plan B when you decide to move back.
I’m excited to see young people returning home to Jamaica. I’m also making my plans to do the same thing and now that I’ve discovered all these channels here on YT my anxiety has completely subsided and has been replaced with eagerness and excitement. Mi cyaa wait fi puddung back roots an sekkle miself a mi bawn land. Mi yawd naw refuse mi. Nuh weh nuh nicah dan yawd. Much respect to you young lady!🇯🇲
Two thumbs up for this video. I appreciate you sharing this information with your audience. I support you and all the young females handling their business and doing their thing successfully Jamaica. Thanks again.

In a time like this I can imagine how grateful you are that you made that decision. Family time, simple things like the shade from that mango tree is such a blessing right now!
Congratulations on your decision to move back, I hope your dreams come through. You have experienced the "first world" ! Just put that experience to go use. I returned to JA with my children from UK, lived for 9 years, it was the best 'Adult' time of my life. I lived in Kingston and Mandeville with children, schooling was the best, life in general was quality driven. I returned to London due to family matters but everyday my heart hurts for home. My girls were 3 years ahead of their peers educationally on their return to London.Good luck, use your first world knowledge to become successful in your First World Country!!! Jamaica is the best!!💕💕💕
Still so proud of you girl! I try to catch up on your videos when I can so I end up binge watching, but great content and information. Chin up and keep pushing. The greatest thing is you’re home❤️

Yes Bianca. I’m the opposite to you in that I was born in the UK but I left when I was 12 and schooled in Ja, mandeville - the best years of my life! Hence the reason why I will be returning to my homeland! There’s crime & bad mind people on all continents so that’s not an excuse!! Wicked video and I have digested all your comments...
I can see your happy living in Jamaica im Happy to because your taking us on ur journey with u. I started side eyeing u when u touched on women reversing and can't drive 😒😏😁 def would love to see what's the cost of living is in the future congrats on 11k I see u reaching a mil +
Lol the reversing part is true though 99% of the time when someone taking forever to reverse it’s a woman which makes my heart cry but lol hopefully one day we both reach a mil +
Girl what you said about the female drivers! So true! I get compliments for my driving all the time but to me it's just natural. Like I don't play when I'm on the road
Really enjoyed this video 🧡! I’ve always felt drawn to Jamaica and it’s culture and just recently I found out I’m actually Jamaican and my ancestors are from the St.Elizabeth parish. I would love to move here one day soon and be closer to my ancestors and get out of the US! I would need a plan I know especially being a single mother hopefully I can start generating one And one day to come! 🇯🇲💚🖤💛
I wish Jamaica would do a year of return for ppl in the diaspora to come back and visit like how Ghana did with their year of return cuz a lot of ppl who left many years ago dont know how much Jamaica has changed
@Alyssa my grandparents were born in Jamaica I'm from the UK I don't know anything about Jamaica as far as I'm concerned I'm as British as a white British person.i speak the queens English and drink tea like a white person proud black brit.
You look like my type of girl.. I'm surprised we didn't meet on the subway, smile. Anyway life in other areas around the world makes you love Jamaica more trust mi!
Hi Bicanna. I've only just found your channel. What a pleasure watching your video, so real and unpretentious from one so young. Like you I am back after living abroad for decades. As a people we like to focus on the negatives and there are channels that are obsessed with these, giving just a one sided and distorted view of the country. To you J'cans out there who are undecided about returning, I cannot begin to tell you how wonderful it feels been able to go anywhere, live anywhere without anyone or the police looking at me suspiciously. Like with any country you: 1 choose your friend's carefully 2.plan your return 3. speak to other returnees 4.Blend in and by this i mean don't try to stand out 5. Stay away from cantankerous family and walk away from any dispute over land. 6 Buy in a gated community that has all the amenities you need Regarding the education system here is far superior and always has been so much so that I had my foreign born children schooled here- BEST DECISION I EVER MADE. Jamaicans do not understand racism and will turn on you even be embarrassed by you when you challenge and object to it. Slavery and colonisation has left it's legacy but we don't have to accept it. So much more I could say but fellow Jamaicans in the diaspora Britain is not home, America is not home and get away from this myth that you can't walk around in safety. If that were the case all Ja'cans would be in the grave.
After 8 years outside of Ja...I could hardly wait to come back. Things aren't smooth and I'm not rich but I have peace of mind, familiarity of places, faces, family and relatives. As you mentioned, it's calming. I rather to rough it out here. The bad personalities of many Jamaicans stem from arrogance and ignorance; however, we are Jamaicans and I chose to be in the mix of all our short comings because the positives far outweigh them. I love it here.
#EDIT Jamaican schooling system is top tier!! (While I am aware there are deficiencies in our schooling system I know quite a number of persons and have heard from others, who have stated that they are ahead of their class when they migrate. It is with that background that I made the statement.) Especially our primary/secondary level. Moving back to JA i'm sure was a huge step for you, but i'm sure you will be fine. You seem fine already!
You must be a comedian lol. Black ppl are smart however. The education system is a one size fits all which does not build the vast potential of the kids. You will soon be in a crisis as all your young ppl desire to be rappers/singers no one wants to be doctors, solicitors, engineers etc. Wahlahi to Allah be the glory
I find that the only people who think this are those who move abroad and into very poor public school districts. The Jamaican school system, overall, is very archaic. It tends to produce students who are good at memorization and extremely poor at critical thinking. They are very good at performing on Schools Challenge Quiz, but very bad at defending an original thought.
I've been through both schooling systems( in the US and JA) and both have their deficiencies. I wouldn't necessarily say Jamaican students are further ahead or vice versa, but when I attended school in Jamaica more emphasis was placed on passing exams..... In the US....emphasis was placed on applying the knowledge learned...So when I got to the US initially I didn't have problems passing exams. I had to quickly learn how to defend my answers and apply it...
Hey girl I'm so happy that you are contented with your decision of moving back home to beautiful Jamaica... as the song goes nowhere no better than yard..
Hey Bicana! Well done as always. I like the observation that you made about women drivers. It really does speak to personality... Take that road and keep rolling! Keep up the good work
Good points. As an American, my parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents are all from Jamaica. To me, Jamaica is my home as well. I have always thought that I should begin the migration sooner than later.
I enjoyed it alot I want to move to Jamaica as well but because I have a daughter I feel like it would be hard for her to adjust. So now I'm not sure what to do?
I am moving back too...will be back in dec...tired of these foreign countries..i have lived in canada and now living in the nether antilles and my yearning is for my home...sweet sweet jamaica
First time seeing your video I am in love with you, people outside of Jameika would thiink is the worst plan for you to go back to Jamaica and people in Jamaica think that you should not move to Jamaica because there is better life for you in America but it’s all up to you., you have to know what you want, blessings to you
These young people with courage and ideas will move Jamaica into a more positive direction. Increase the amount of natives who have money and ambition and I bet things will change all over Jamaica.
I've actually been thinking of going back to my grandfather's house in MoBay recently. Though, I left at 3 months old, and just went back for summers back in the day. So, it's even more of a disconnect for me.
Why would anyone regret moving back to their home? It may take some adapting but it's home! Almost every other foreigner (including Jamaicans) that I've met in the USA wishes to go back to their own country!!!! Economy is the biggest thing that robs us of the place we call home. Some of my family members went back home and are doing great! I'll be on my way pretty soon! Glad for the opportunities but my ❤️ is in JAMAICA!
Not always. If you can find a place under $50K per month. Rented on purpose for 4 years and got permissionn to BNB IT and saved enough to buy my place I now own CASH...
OMG! I was born in NY but lived in JA until I was 3, I cannot wait to go backkkk! Wondering if I should go to university in US or JA? (You're one of the women I look up to btw!)
At this point - if you did all studies in the US - finish up in the US so that way your US studies is easily transferrable to ANY country you decide to settle in. Good luck 👍🏾
Renee Bennette you’re most welcome hun. I completed all studies in US (undergrad and grad) and had massive opportunities abroad. So, speaking from experience it’s easier and doable that way.
@@liz-mariebennett4469 You can have the best of both worlds. Do university in the US (degree more easily transferable) and study abroad in Jamaica for a semester or two, which is what i did. Fourteen years later, my friends from UWI Mona are still some of my best college friends. All the best!
I want to send my kids to jamaican scl cause that is the best trust me. Its so hard to decide to take the plunge. Ppl will look down on you and chat u and that's one thing that i think/anxious about.
Hi I'm New Here and in order to know who you are and why you made the decision that you made I'm going to have to watch your videos back but I would like to say that you have inspired me to not give up on my dream of one day moving back home to god bless you stay safe sis I'm happy that I found you and subscribed to you🙏
You have made the right decision.Jamaica is growing and a lot of us in the diaspora better understand that the Jamaica you left ten to twenty years ago is not the same.Jamaica is not what i want it to be but it much better that what is use to be.I wish you God richest blessings.
I will be returning next year as this will be my retirement home. That is so true about the school system I hope it change.i wish I could hook up with some returning residence to do things together.
I wouldn’t necessarily use the word advanced but I would say they’re more strict when it comes to their education system, and from what I’ve noticed (also stated by my American friends) students and family put more emphasis on getting a good education and enforcing that their kids are actually taking school seriously. (That’s just from my own experience) not just the Caribbean but in African households as well.
I can speak from experience that Jamaica is more advance in the school system. When I moved to the U.S. I was so surprised how advanced Jamaica was. What I learned in the 11th and 12th grade in the U.S., is what I learned in the 9th grade in Jamaica. I was on the honor roll all through high school in the U.S. Even in university...what I learned in the first year of university is what I learned in 4th form in JA. Jamaica has the English school system which is waaaayyyyyy better.
I noticed how happy you got what you Saigon made friends .I am Jamaican Di own a sines in the US and pet him that I can say this country is not for friendship..I’m hop for you ... I’m thinking about moving back because I can run my business from anywhere in the world so I will be there in July so we will see
Good idea, some people who where born in Jamaica and is now living abroad, feel like Jamaica is the worst place on earth but that's far from the truth. I'm about to do the same. Bless up yourself sistren.
Erica if only we know Wilson because in their opinion they are living their best life overseas...maybe they’ve had bad experience. But a yaad mi seh....straight...

Nice vid, though the part about female drivers made me kinda sad tbh 😔 I have very bad anxiety and whenever I get in my car the thought of going at a certain speed on the road and possibly hurting someone or getting into an accident always scares me. These thoughts are so bad that I pace myself and of course pacing myself makes drivers around me upset. It's almost as if people choose to not have compassion, they don't even try to ask questions to understand our mindset for those of us who literally cannot break out of the fear of what may happen on the road. To possibly be looked at as less dominant and for it to be associated with my personality is very disheartening to say the least. And in no way am I trying to be disrespectful but to be sad or irritated that a female is trying is to do a reverse but it's taking her a little bit shows how disconnected we truly are with each other.
I see where you’re coming from and I’m sorry to hear that I hope you overcome that one day 🙏🏽 but hesitating and impeding traffic can cause accidents as well! What I meant to say with regards to being “less dominant” is more to how you described it; so I want to apologize on my end, I didn’t mean to offend.
I never drive when I revisit and scared to death putting my life in someone else's hands. I have to learn to deal with the road mentality at home. I agree you about her comment. So many accidents because of the you not taking my right away mentality.
Bicana you’re so right! We should all move back home. I wanna move to Jamaica but I know if I go there I’m gonna be seen as a foreigner even though I have Jamaican blood. My grandparents all came to England to work in the 50s now I just feel lost 😂
Bicana I’m trying! His main concern like yours is income and having a steady flow of income. I’m researching potential businesses we could start and saving up.
Judith Wright would both of you consider Ghana...its just like Jamaica but the USD can make you live like a billionaire...Im living in Jamaica now but planning to migrate to Ghana in the future.. Theres many business opportunity there
haley pham vlog I would only move to Jamaica. My husband is from there and so are my parents. My parents migrated to Boston and that’s where most of my family lives now. Ghana would be too far for family members to visit and that’s also important.
Hey, if you know Kirk, friend of your mom, I am his brother. I just wanted to say me rate you my girl. I too lived in New York, also came over in 2008. I came this close to coming back home in 2018 and didn't make the leap. I have been planning since 2014 to go home, buy land and just live my life. Told myself 2018 was the year. Saved up a good sum of money, buy a bunch of power tools, pack 3 barrels and ship off. In just one week before I decide to buy my ticket, I got a call from a friend in Florida, asking me to join in a business with him. I changed all my plans and went to Florida instead. I spent a lot of my land money, the business did not work out, I am still in America and I don't want to be here. So I just gotta say to you, great respect to do what I couldn't. The only difference between you and me is that you can come back whenever you want. For me, it would be a one way ticket.
Wow! I’m sorry to hear how things turned out but you’re still on earth and with time you’ll be back home and prospering like you never left! I wish you all the best! We just have to keep our head up and keep it moving 💪🏽🙏🏽 we’re some strong people so I know it will work out in the end for you! Thank you so much for watching! Tell your brother I said hello 💕💖

Real talk mi sista. You’re gonna do it
🙌🏽👏🏽 Thank you!
Bicana you support my views in so many ways..there is no place like home..😌
No place like home 🇯🇲
Very good sis...jus be careful who you connect with.put your life in the hand of the lord and he will guide yur life.
Girl what you said about the female drivers! So true! I get compliments for my driving all the time but to me it's just natural. Like I don't play when I'm on the road
Lol right! We’re dominant drivers that’s why! 💛💖
I’ve been in Jamaica 12 years. I have no regrets, but look forward to moving again. I will always have a home here.
Ah di best move yuh cudda mek..Foreignnn jus fulll ah bare Bills....love this video !!!
I heard about that! Maybe the tourism industry should really push that especially to get people to come back home 💚🖤💛
@Alyssa my grandparents were born in Jamaica I'm from the UK I don't know anything about Jamaica as far as I'm concerned I'm as British as a white British person.i speak the queens English and drink tea like a white person proud black brit.
@Alyssa A lot of the Jamaicans don't like the generations born overseas.
You look like my type of girl.. I'm surprised we didn't meet on the subway, smile. Anyway life in other areas around the world makes you love Jamaica more trust mi!
Like the way that u remain natural and just real
That’s how it should be done!💚🖤💛
always love ur videos, please do that budgeting video its such a good idea and i would love to see it ❤
Thank you! I definitely will!
I love watching your channel!! I am thinking of doing the move myself!
🙏🏽 This is exactly my point!! Thank you for watching 😊
#EDIT Jamaican schooling system is top tier!! (While I am aware there are deficiencies in our schooling system I know quite a number of persons and have heard from others, who have stated that they are ahead of their class when they migrate. It is with that background that I made the statement.)
Especially our primary/secondary level. Moving back to JA i'm sure was a huge step for you, but i'm sure you will be fine. You seem fine already!
Eeh where in Jamaica do u live?
Yes, Jamaica School is far better. In Jamaica Math and Science is constantly put in the forefront.
Hey girl I'm so happy that you are contented with your decision of moving back home to beautiful Jamaica... as the song goes nowhere no better than yard..
Exactly! No where better than yaad!
You definitely should! Jamaica is home 🇯🇲
Yay!!! Was waiting for this vlog😊😊🤗🤗🤗
Hope you enjoy! Let me know if you have any questions
Good luck on your return home 💕💖
Good on u girl I wish I could move back Jamaica nice even through customer service is terrible
Your 20 how old, nah.....you are groooown...keep blazing queen...damn can only imagine how deep your conversations are....fyah

Skin pretty and clean, love your natural hair and look. I want so bad to one day retire in Jamaica.
Thank you 🖤💛💚
wish you all the best,, this was really motivating
Thank you! Good luck on your journey 🖤💛💚
First time seeing your video I am in love with you, people outside of Jameika would thiink is the worst plan for you to go back to Jamaica and people in Jamaica think that you should not move to Jamaica because there is better life for you in America but it’s all up to you., you have to know what you want, blessings to you
my first time listening to you I love you video your encouragement keep doing it girl I'm going to subscribe
YESSSSSSSS CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST!!!!😔 It's literally one of the only downfalls.
They need to improve. Let's hold them accountable
Thks young lady again for comment it a up hill battle so jus enjoy yrself🤔 Jamaica have plenty opportunity 🤔 thks again have bless day👌🏿👍🏿👍🏿
Thank you for watching! Stay blessed!
These young people with courage and ideas will move Jamaica into a more positive direction. Increase the amount of natives who have money and ambition and I bet things will change all over Jamaica.
My plan in to move home in the next 2-5 years after being in "foreign" 26 years, there's no place like home. 🇯🇲
No place like home!
I've actually been thinking of going back to my grandfather's house in MoBay recently. Though, I left at 3 months old, and just went back for summers back in the day. So, it's even more of a disconnect for me.
Come back if to even visit a couple times to get used to the place but definitely just come home (with a plan of course)
@@BicanaBrown For sure, with a plan.
This is 💯 🙌🏽
Its best to do a mortgage in Jamaica than rent. Examine that option. God bless you 🙏
I was going to make this exact suggestion. 💯. I hope she sees it.
That’s definitely the end goal...to own a home 💚🖤💛
Not always. If you can find a place under $50K per month. Rented on purpose for 4 years and got permissionn to BNB IT and saved enough to buy my place I now own CASH...
He sis. Im moving to jamaica i want to do the mortgage route it seems better
OMG! I was born in NY but lived in JA until I was 3, I cannot wait to go backkkk! Wondering if I should go to university in US or JA? (You're one of the women I look up to btw!)
Awe thank you! Do your research and pick the best fit for you!
At this point - if you did all studies in the US - finish up in the US so that way your US studies is easily transferrable to ANY country you decide to settle in. Good luck 👍🏾
@@Medgbeau Thank You ! Just needed the reassurance 😅😊
Big ups 🇯🇲 u move back to Jamaica,..I miss your videos in New York 🤪...I c u do big things now u back home n Jamaica...I wish u luck back home🇯🇲🎉💘
I want to send my kids to jamaican scl cause that is the best trust me. Its so hard to decide to take the plunge. Ppl will look down on you and chat u and that's one thing that i think/anxious about.
Don’t care what people say! Do what you believe is best for your children! Some school districts abroad have nothing on some Jamaican schools!
Hi I'm New Here and in order to know who you are and why you made the decision that you made I'm going to have to watch your videos back but I would like to say that you have inspired me to not give up on my dream of one day moving back home to god bless you stay safe sis I'm happy that I found you and subscribed to you🙏
Thank you! Don’t give up him 🖤💛💚
I've got a friend who is considering moving back so I sent this to her so she can relate to the situation you are in.
Thank you! I hope she finds it useful 😊

Thank you and good luck on your journey as well!
Yes 💯 the customer service is an issue but love it regardless
smart young lady we have to have a plan what we want to do in life
Inspirational video! My hope is to move to JA in da next 5-10 yrs. my words to god's ear
You definitely will! Good luck with everything and i wish you the best 🖤💚💛
I was looking forward to this video 😊😊
Hope I answered any questions you had, let me know if i missed something 😊
The quality of life is better. You can make it any where, its a mind set.
Definitely 🖤💚💛
Love the island as well. Good thinking
GREAT VLOG.... KEEP DEM COMING BICANA YUH TING SHOT!!💕
Thanks hun💕💖
You are a very strong persevering young woman.
For sure customer service Is such a weak point in Jamaica
Thank you! Hopefully we can improve that in the future! Companies and businesses just need to promote training!
100k soon comeeeee😘
You have made the right decision.Jamaica is growing and a lot of us in the diaspora better understand that the Jamaica you left ten to twenty years ago is not the same.Jamaica is not what i want it to be but it much better that what is use to be.I wish you God richest blessings.
I will be returning next year as this will be my retirement home. That is so true about the school system I hope it change.i wish I could hook up with some returning residence to do things together.
It's because the school system back home in the Caribbean is more advanced than the school system abroad.
I am thinking about the same thing move back to Jamaica...
Like the energy keep it up, and stay blesses
Thank you 😊
I am very proud of you as a young lady so keep the faith God bless
Thank you so much! 😊
I noticed how happy you got what you Saigon made friends .I am Jamaican Di own a sines in the US and pet him that I can say this country is not for friendship..I’m hop for you ... I’m thinking about moving back because I can run my business from anywhere in the world so I will be there in July so we will see
I liked before I started watching 😊
You are so right we need to build up Jamaica and black people need to start love each other and stop used the word N word.
N word use by black Americans
You don’t have to tell me twice, but goodie a setup things first! Trust
A suh it affi go! 🙏🏽
Girl im planning to move back when im done with scl. My family is angry right now with my decision but i don't care. Im not begging them anything.
Exactly!!!!
Love watching your vlogs keep doing that good job and yes I subscribe and press the post notifications 🛎 😆 wha dem say all brown related so maybe we fam bless up
Whoot whoot thank you!
Oh and I have an observation that I will share later. Thanks for letting me know about how you are doing and everything
Thank you 💖💕
Nice vid, though the part about female drivers made me kinda sad tbh 😔 I have very bad anxiety and whenever I get in my car the thought of going at a certain speed on the road and possibly hurting someone or getting into an accident always scares me.
Great Video, looking forward to what’s next.
Thank you 😊
yass i wanna move there!
Move!! Just make sure you have a plan!
Bicana you’re so right! We should all move back home. I wanna move to Jamaica but I know if I go there I’m gonna be seen as a foreigner even though I have Jamaican blood. My grandparents all came to England to work in the 50s now I just feel lost 😂
RAYCARLAXO once you settle in you will be seen as a Jamaican. Don’t worry Jamaican people are so welcoming.
@@Raycarlaxo same scenario as me 👋🏽
RAYCARLAXO same here. Jamaica feels like home. My body, soul & spirit are at peace there.
I love this channel. I’m trying to convince my husband to move to Jamaica.
Convince him sis!
Keep trying, learn from your mistakes, i am thinking of the power tool thing also.
