160mm is a good trail bike with the new suspension fork we have in the market, it depends on your mood or style of riding you can use volume spacefs either you add volume spacer and reduce the psi for plush and small bumps for trail riding or in between on enduro high psi and 2-3 volume spacers for less bottom out. Do not be afraid to overfork just enjoy the ride. Most riders mostly no paying attention on the Head Tube angle and set tube angle/anti squat these will affect your riding style depending on the type of trail you are doing.
about time for another bike run through. Looks like you are on your third occam this year (might be wrong but the first one was orange, then there was the black with metal flake paint and now a white one). What have you changed, why and what works? good luck with the remaining races.
I bought a s-works Stumpjumper EVO with all the bells and whistles. I thought I’d ride faster on a slightly bigger, more aggressive bike. I still ride my alloy Giant Trance X more. It’s more fun and playful on my local Midwest trails. A little less travel, steeper head angle, a little more efficient pedaling. The Stumpy evo feels like it needs some pretty big mountain terrain to feel better, and it’s not even an enduro bike. The people pedaling big enduro bikes on tame trails are really missing out.
Hi, would you choose giant trance x 1 29 or orbea occam h20 LT if i can ask? I really like how comfy and do it all (almost) giant it is, im just afraid of pressfit system. Didnt had a chance to ride occam. Thinking also about trek fuel ex gen 6 but i think it might be too heavy and big and slack... they compare it to the Stumpy evo which is way too big for my riding purpose also. Trance X feels very comfy and fun. Could you help please? Best regards

Hey man, what exact model is it? I'm about to pull the trigger on an occam 2022 h20 lt
Yeah wondering too, but I think it's the SL version atleast. Difficult to see if its the carbon or alu version though.
What size bike is that? And what's your height?
I've tested an Occam in L and it felt a bit cramped. I'm 180cm
You need an XL in any Occam before 2024. In 2024 you could go large LT and XL SL
@@Melvin-gt2gu Not true
Mine is XL mate and I'm 188cm. I could ride an L which would actually be better for jumps and playing. You are right if you're heading for an XL 👍
What size??
I'm 187cm tall and use XL bikes mate 😎
I dont disagree, but i think some race enduro riders would do better with triple crowns.
