Just some tips for Bosnia as my partner is originally from there and we have driven from the UK many times. The border insurance offices are not 24/7 so its best to get there during office hours. Ensure you register with the police within 48 hours or you will get fined when leaving Bosnia. You have to pay for this and it involves a trip to the police station then to a post office and back to the police station to complete the process. It can however be easier just to book a hotel for 1 night as the hotel can arrange the registration for you I dont know if campsites would do the same. Dont 100% trust your satnav and try and avoid driving at night. A lot of roads get affected by landslips and can suddenly go on wierd sideway gradients you also cant see potholes which are capable of wrecking truck tyres!
@@johnmandy plus the inreach uses the iridium satellite network which is in my opinion the best coverage option available. Other commonly available Devices like a SPOT use the globalstar network which isn’t quite as complete coverage

They don't take up much room ;-)
we took a printer with us on our trip to turkey so usefull in a lot of situations ours is also a scanner at a border if they need paperwork just print it and give it to them many things we took we did not use but seeing youtubers running around looking for someware to print things and getting stressed convinced us to take a printer with us but dont forget spare ink

I have the exact same water carrier as my waste tank in Sprintie! Like the look of that little fan. We used beam benders when we went to Switzerland, worked great and came off after with no bother too. Hope you are enjoying your travels :-)
I have that same fan in my office room (work from home) I've had several other USB fans which were weak, and unless they were strapped to your head you couldn't feel them. That fan though is small but mighty, I love it! Very useful when the room becomes too hot. Soon as you move from it the sweat drips again haha. So excited for the trip to begin!

Get a couple of lengths of paracord (or equivalent) and tie one to the end of each traction mat. If you have to use the mats tie the other end of the cord to the back of the van. Then, when you are out of the mud/sand keep driving until you are back on firm ground and your mats will be with you. No walking back ½ mile to retrieve them.👍

What does Coop think about his upcoming hadventure(cos he is a dog). If he’s anything like our dog, I can almost sense her saying “here we go again”
I tell you what.. that is literally the best jacket I’ve had.. it’s mega snuggly without the heat as the lining generates some from your body heat then with the heat turned on (it has two levels too) it’s amazing!!

Ah thank you, it’s brilliant - we usually transfer £500 or so at a time as there’s a monthly limit of £1000 then you transfer those to euros - does that help?

I’ve taken the straps off as I’ve had first experience of what happens when they get flicked out.

Our van is aluminium composite, so the chassis of the cab is the ground plane and the antenna is mounted to a bracket on the roof

Yes, we’re taking these as CB is now license free and the others don’t have their HF license. 👍🏻
