That was lovely. Gosh she was so pretty. I wonder if she was really playing the guitar? I don't remember if artists actually sang on Ed Sullivan or if they lip synced like on American Bandstand? I'm surprised it's in color. The sound was really good considering the picture wasn't. Still it was nice to see this.
This was from the 1965-66 season, the first year CBS produced shows in color. Most performers on the Ed Sullivan show did really sing, although there was the occasional lip syncher
I can't for the life of me think how ANY man can take advantage of her. And she had quite a rough time. Something beautiful and VERY disturbing with Americans.
We are on the same thought. How could anyone hurt this lovely woman? And it wasn't just Eddie. She had guts and I, for one, will go to my grave loving this lady.
