Cheers Jon, it's improved since last week. Now I need to find a job which doesn't require my wrist to perform the same action all day long for twelve days without a break!
Lol yes I could mike if I ever get the hang of staying awake past 10.30! How is scrumpy with your gout? I'll gladly send you a bottle if it doesn't cause you crippling agony!
@@jim.m75 haha, I would love a bottle Jim, funnily enough i reckon scrumpy would be fine in regards to gout, (in fact apple cider vinegar is actually good for gout - so i reckon scrumpy wouldn't hurt)
@@David-n2c5g I'll be honest David I can't remember off the top of my head! The campden tablet packet should tell you. One or two per gallon-ish? I hope it goes well for you, cider is easy 🙂 add extra sugar and you will have a blaster!
4 gallons of home made Cider. That should get you somewhat merry for a lttle while ! You have my sympathy for your bad wrist. I've just been through that myself. A bloody nuisence isn't it ? And of course it always happens to your dominent side doesn't it... Oh and bye bye Greta - but hopefully not for ever. 🙂
Cheers zed, yes it's a damn nuisance being my right wrist, the doc says it's occupational rsi - so definitely another reason to chuck my job! It's on the mend now though, for now.
You'd be faster using a Kenwood chef and a juice extractor. I got 12 litres last night in 90 mins including setting up and clean up afterwards. You need someone to quarter the apples
I'll be honest Owen, I haven't the foggiest! I'd guess if I filled it with water it might be about 2 gallons, or approximately ten litres. I hope thats useful for you.
Looks good Jim. Hope your hand gets better soon. 👍🙂

Chop them up by hand and keep the skin and mush in with the juice as it has natural yeasts and sugars. No need for additives except sugar.
Cheers Bran, I had bad experiences with natural yeasts so now I always err on the side of caution!
good job jim
Cheers kai!

Did you have to do anything to the chipper before using it for apples..other than chopping the top off 😂
What sort of apples did you use? Hope that shredder wasn’t responsible for your wrist injury
