Dude, it's awesome to see someone doing a similar project on an 02 impreza like mine! Glad to see there's still some people working with them. Just finished my fog lights and added a wagon spoiler as well. Did a short ram and it surprisingly considerably increased performance. After a new muffler, forester struts are next!

    I don't know why you don't keep the bungee cord. 🥺 It's so....beautiful! 😂

Just ordered some new lift springs, struts and top hat spacers for my 2005 outback. One rear strut completed separated from the top hat haha

What did you end up getting for the sway bars bracket and end links ?

I ended up buying some el-cheapo adjustable end links for it actually, front and rear

i’m thinking about doing this with my 2017 impreza. this would work the same with any forester struts for the same year right? seems like most subarus have the same bolt pattern
    dope vid bro

I imagine the bolt patterns are the same for the 14-16 year cars, but don't quote me on that. I tend to stick with the slightly older Subarus, where more of the parts are widely interchangeable. You may be able to accomplish the same thing with a set of strut spacers instead, however. Good luck!!

will this work with an 06 impreza hatch?

Yes, the same outback struts will bolt on to your hatch as well. I might recommend installing the Forester trailing arm mounts as well, rather than fabricating spacer blocks though. Good luck!

There is no need to use blocks
Use 97/99 Outback trailing arms brackets
Also 97/99 outback rear sway-bar bracket lowered the swaybar

Good info that I didn't have at the time. Also, didn't have access to that year outback at the LKQ I salvaged the struts from.

how did you get the fog light switch to light up mine didnt come with one and when putting a relay it just clicks at the moment

I added a fuse in the panel, since mine did not have one previously. It's the fuse panel in the driver's side behind the panel, second row down, first one on the left side. It should be a 15 amp fuse. Hope that fixes it! There may also be a tiny bulb inside the switch, I'm actually not sure, I pulled my switch from a forester in the junk yard.

Spent forever talking about absolutely nothing that has to do with the title of the Video, and then, when it comes time to do the thing that the title of the video is, he plays it twice as fast with some techno music over it it doesn’t say one thing about what he’s doing. Why are you making videos to teach people how to do things, or to have people see you teaching people how to do things? Awesome beard though. Not even being sarcastic that’s a sweet beard.

Apologies my intention wasn't to teach, just maybe more of a vlog. If I had done this before or knew what I was doing, maybe if have tried harder to document that stuff but I kind of get tunnel vision. And I do get a bit long winded sometimes, I'm working on that. Thanks for the beard compliment though, it's been a long time coming for that one
