No, that’s too easy. I worked in retail for too many years to see how lazy Advertising departments were and actually still are. The internet should sell directly to you, but should also be used to drive you to want to seek out store only. Clicking on items will never replace good customer service. Retail didn’t get digital media fast enough and then they didn’t utilize it well enough. They still don’t.

You would think that in this day and age malls would be more popular than they were in their heyday. People complain about being so busy and having so little time etc... the one stop shopping of the malls would be a practical solution. Sadly it is not the case. To them 1 stop shopping means solely online or a trip to Wamart. It kills me to see people's photo memories just tossed carelessly on the floor and counter tops at the 6:35 minute mark. How many of those photos are missing from the families they belong to? I'm sure the electric company will notice and increase in the power usage in that old mall after you started flicking lights on.
Turning power on to a place, that has been abandon like this, runs a high chance of starting a fire!🔥 Also there is no telling who else might be in there! 😳 and they might not be friendly! 😡
Probably never been switched off. If someone bought it they would probably be slapped with a giant electricity bill, but most likely it would be demolished before that.

I’m right out of San Bernardino California burn a raise. This is my childhood mall. Believe me when I say this is heartbreaking. This was right across the street from the Radisson hotel on Main Street. Look it up.
They should turn it into a safe area for exercise for the masses. We no longer have forests to walk through in the city but something like this would help.
There are so many abandoned malls across the country, I only know of 2 that have been repurposed by the city, county, kept, given to businesses for additional space, and colleges to expand for more space. Or social spaces, homeless shelters, nonprofit organizations, can make use of the space.
Back in the 80s I used to go to the mall with my mom back then growing up we used to live in Colton and we would take two buses just to go to San Bernardino just to go to the mall and I remember going to that Mexican restaurant we ate there a couple times I remember I ordered some nachos and they gave me a big ass plate full of nachos I know a lot of people went with their friends to the mall but mostly I went with my mom we used to walk around just looking at the stuff in the stores but my favorite places to look in was the bookstore and the music store but too bad this mall is already knocked down already too bad they couldn't just refix it make it better but I guess it's much easier to knock it down then we fixing it
An odd thing I noticed is that the clock that was hanging in there look pink to me the hands were removed. The stores leave items in there like cards and pictures and stuff like that and they think to remove the hands from the clock. Why?
It's a sign of the times, even this Christmas season the black Friday mob rushes to the stores are virtually gone most are staying home and doing Christmas shopping online..the holidays are not what they use to be..
Can you explore the Sunrise Mall next? It's a dead mall in Massapequa, NY at Long Island and it's about to close down permanently next month in December.
This mall is demolished now or is very close. I use to go there when I was young. There use to be a movie theater. $2 movies. I saw Hook there. Last time I set foot in there was 2011. I got a ring on credit from Daniels. There was still a few stores open and the county had some offices occupied.

@@Urbex_Offlimits yeah the cool thing about walking through was like stepping back in time. I don't think a lot of stores updated from 80s style because Inland Center mall went in down the road. Very cool place and the old vintage Harris' store was incredible.
Did I show the Harris store in the video I don't remember if not I have some footage here somewhere
thanks for the music man, it really sets the tone well
cheers from regina, sk
Thanks glad you liked it
At 3:04 did you have someone else with you that already went into the store. There’s a silhouette moving in the far left corner just after you say “it’s these neons buzzing.”
no just the 2 of us
Looks like a mirror column. Probably just reflecting the person they were with.
Possible but does it move the same way 🤔
There’s someone else there who left really quickly. They made a noise too. Creepy
The song makes up it a bit nostalgic yet very relaxing
Totally

What your seeing is not just a paradigm shift in retail but the decay of a world that sustained society, a loss of the foundation. You gentlemen are the chroniclers of the rubble of what use to be.
Unfortunately yeah
Did anyone notice the figure on the side and background @3:00
Yeah there is discussion in the comments
I've always liked malls I always thought they were great fun place to go to a real treat but it's sad all that online shopping really knocked out a lot of malls turn a ghost town
Yeah I agree
It's so sad how ceiling fans begin drooping after a few decades.
Think the heat does that
Just think of all the weekend hanging out, hours of pac man games, browsing bookstores, watching movies, teen flirting, nervous first days on the job, and eating dipping dots done there. And now...
Good Times!
This mall has now been demolished. It was the carousel mall of downtown San Bernardino. It must have been pretty easy to get inside because I've seen countless videos covering it in the past.
This is the original video. Check your dates
@@Urbex_Offlimits very well. Just saying that Ive personally seen other videos from other explorers in the past, relative to my viewing them on youtube
I prefer the malls of the 1980s they had charisma they had finesse
I like um all
Dont know if you noticed around 3:04-3:06 someone walked in the back of the store in the light, your friend? Or a random person
Not at the time no didn't even see it while editing it together. Thanks to the viewers!
@@Urbex_Offlimits wow, wonder who it was lol!
Yeah idk creepy tho
it's his friend, it's obvious, we see him few secondes before, then on the mirror on the pillar of the shop.
It's possible
Whats up guys love the video so far i grew up going to this mall i could almost tell you what location is what, My grandmother worked at the harris for over 30 years. thanks for making this video. I would love to get in this mall and make my own video.
Dm me on IG @urbex_offlimits
Is it still there or did get torn down and replace with something else
Still there no plans for development yet
pink and purple. ugh. i went there a few times...one of the old ones, for sure. too bad it died. i remember when Harris' was up that was a busy place..and had cops strolling the place. reminds me of my broke days..ugh.
Good Times!
where is that place? it is amazing how totally abandoned it became, yet how well preserved that it is.
Well it wasn't preserved very long this was filmed about a year or so after it closed it has since been destroyed by vandalism arson and scrapping.
This mall was so cool way back then, so sad what happened to it
It really was loves the old school vibes and neons
@@Urbex_Offlimits It really was!
You would think that in this day and age malls would be more popular than they were in their heyday. People complain about being so busy and having so little time etc... the one stop shopping of the malls would be a practical solution. Sadly it is not the case. To them 1 stop shopping means solely online or a trip to Wamart.
It kills me to see people's photo memories just tossed carelessly on the floor and counter tops at the
6:35 minute mark. How many of those photos are missing from the families they belong to?
I'm sure the electric company will notice and increase in the power usage in that old mall after you started flicking lights on.
Right i know the photos scattered was pretty wild
Love the videos bro
Thanks
How long has this mall been closed? There’s so much left behind.
5 or 6 years. There was lots left behind in the backrooms
Where is this I may need a place to stay come June
You don't want to stay there
@@Urbex_Offlimits y not there still electricity in some parts too ill be styling. Lol
Was there someone walking in the other end of the store around 3:00
Spooky
Thank You For sharing this Video

Aye thank you congratulations 🎊 🤘
Turning power on to a place, that has been abandon like this, runs a high chance of starting a fire!🔥 Also there is no telling who else might be in there! 😳 and they might not be friendly! 😡
Crazy how they left it all
Probably never been switched off. If someone bought it they would probably be slapped with a giant electricity bill, but most likely it would be demolished before that.
What a waste
I have no idea what in the blue hell that clown decoration is in the window above the desk is at 12:09 but i need one for the back window in my truck!!
Spooky looking
Gave me serious liminal space/ backrooms vibes
Totally
I thought this was a back room video as well
Backrooms Mall
There was three malls here in the Florida city I grew up in. Now there is only one. Im surprised its still alive and actually thriving.
Dang well at least one is still going strong 💪
this place was NOT torn down because i still live there (specifically slumped against the column 10:37 playing Digital Island Fantasy あきた (7EsGb1cKpDY) and Advance Wars on my GBA with a backpack full of liquor) naw but i get it though i been thru a building getting torn down w/ a friend crazy how's there just holes in the walls sometimes eh
Forsure
The occassional lights make it creepier.
Yes totally 🤘
looks like something I’d find in my dreams
Crazy wish I could remember my dreams
I’m right out of San Bernardino California burn a raise. This is my childhood mall. Believe me when I say this is heartbreaking. This was right across the street from the Radisson hotel on Main Street. Look it up.
Gone now
Enjoying all your video's
Thank you!
Where was this mall?
Kansas
1:13 that's just the fire alarm control panel so yall were good
Yepp
I'll have to add this to the list of abandoned places to discover!
yes sir happy hunting
@@Urbex_Offlimits hey how did u manage to get in?
A magician never reveals there secrets
Dang that mall looks nice , sad it’s abandoned
Looked nice. I need to revisit this place, it has really changed
They should turn it into a safe area for exercise for the masses. We no longer have forests to walk through in the city but something like this would help.
Like the idea
Those ferns at the bottom of the staircase are saying to each other, "alright, you know what to do..let's reclaim what is ours!"
Do what we do best
I really like and respect urban exploration. No vandalizing, no stealing souvenirs like the losers do. Just looking around. It's fascinating.
Take nothing leave only footprints
There are so many abandoned malls across the country, I only know of 2 that have been repurposed by the city, county, kept, given to businesses for additional space, and colleges to expand for more space. Or social spaces, homeless shelters, nonprofit organizations, can make use of the space.
It's nice when they can be repurposed and put into use again
This is so peaceful
Yes thank you
Back in the 80s I used to go to the mall with my mom back then growing up we used to live in Colton and we would take two buses just to go to San Bernardino just to go to the mall and I remember going to that Mexican restaurant we ate there a couple times I remember I ordered some nachos and they gave me a big ass plate full of nachos I know a lot of people went with their friends to the mall but mostly I went with my mom we used to walk around just looking at the stuff in the stores but my favorite places to look in was the bookstore and the music store but too bad this mall is already knocked down already too bad they couldn't just refix it make it better but I guess it's much easier to knock it down then we fixing it
🤘🤘🤘
I think I remeber seats very similar to those green and pink ones in the cafe area, but I can't remember where....
Been a wile
When did this place close?
Around 10 years ago
2017
Sounds about right
Its like a dive into history.
Yeah totally 🤘
An odd thing I noticed is that the clock that was hanging in there look pink to me the hands were removed. The stores leave items in there like cards and pictures and stuff like that and they think to remove the hands from the clock. Why?
Haha ilI didn't notice well someone must of took as a souvenir
It's a sign of the times, even this Christmas season the black Friday mob rushes to the stores are virtually gone most are staying home and doing Christmas shopping online..the holidays are not what they use to be..
Yeah very true
Can you explore the Sunrise Mall next? It's a dead mall in Massapequa, NY at Long Island and it's about to close down permanently next month in December.
Okay cool will check that out when I'm back in long Island!👍
Around 16:29 is where I think we did our Tae Kwon Do school demonstration back in 1990.
Woah yep that's it
This mall is demolished now or is very close. I use to go there when I was young. There use to be a movie theater. $2 movies. I saw Hook there. Last time I set foot in there was 2011. I got a ring on credit from Daniels. There was still a few stores open and the county had some offices occupied.
Good times my friend!
I find that after the curiosity factor fades, these videos become very depressing.
Awe that's too bad it's definitely a little sad sometimes but gotta keep your head up!
