I hate bama but who should be ahead of them? Ole miss has 3 unranked losses, South Carolina lost to bama and ole miss and Miami has beat no one and lost 2 unranked games. As much as I hate bama I just don’t see how you can put one of those teams above them. The committee at least gave us a scenario where SMU can knock them out.
Didn't hurt LSU in 07. They vaulted #7 LSU to #2 over "5 UGA to play #4 OSU who vaulted to #1 when #1,2,3 all lost their conference championship. LSU walked OSU to be Champs. That Dawg team would have destroyed anyone in the country at the end of the year !
Ohio state should have dropped to the 9 seed. Don’t deserve a home game at all and I don’t understand how they’re even supposed to play with a Michigan flag at midfield 🤣
Instead of warning the committee to not punish conference contenders, going forward, Greg Sankey needs to use his significant influence to put more sec people into positions of influence ON THESE COMMITTEES.

Ole Miss should be above Alabama because they handled Georgia way better than Alabama and Alabama just got demolished by Oklahoma 2 weeks ago. Seems like the Committee just wants to make sure Alabama gets into the CFP playoffs…. When Clemson and Arizona State win this weekend, how will they get Alabama into the playoffs???
Depends on the team. But losing to a barely bowl eligible team by 21 points in the last 2 weeks as your 3rd loss should exclude you. South Carolina is the best 3 loss team. And if Georgia were to get 3 losses in their 13th game when everyone else played 12 games, they should still make it in. Can't punish a team that much for being good enough to make the extra game and you shouldn't reward teams for being bad enough to miss it when it was in your pocket
It CAN’T “depend”…if it did, we would see 5 loss teams get in over ANY 2 loss team, and that flat out would NOT be fair in any sport playoff. There’s just too much personal “feelings” in these decisions and for that, the current system is flawed. Case in point, Bama should have blown out OU, but they DIDN’T…so they should not be in IMO (that was the worst Bama loss in 20 years, and you just can’t reward that performance).

@@kenavguy it absolutely should "depend" just like a two loss or one loss team should "depend" on other factors before immediately putting them in the top 12. Does SOS matter? Does it matter how you finish a season vs how you start a season? Does it matter if one of your losses was in a conference championship game, while no other team had to play that extra game? Of course those answers matter

Georgia better beat the brakes off Texas, if they lose, they will stay in the playoffs but will drop far in the seeding.
the real question is, do we get in with a loss in the SEC championship vs a team we already beat on the road ? or so we get snupped ?
