Impressive tree identifications, HW. Seals, Mynahs, & rats..plenty of wildlife around ! That mic gave you a bit of trouble... Couple of enticing sandwich shops during your walk..especially that Brooklyn one ! Have a great weekend, and up the mighty Chooks ! 🐓👍 Jim.
@@evogardens Yeh Jim. Did you see how bold that rat was. Fancy being out in the daylight with people about. The punters were all over that Brooklyn Bridge Deli. Must be some delightful sandwiches in there. Pity the Roosters game isn’t tonight. I’m not a big fan of Saturday night games. They should leave that slot for the AFL fans. PS: The mic is a pain. My guess is the rode lavlier mic is shot. I was back on the wireless ones today with dB dialled right down.
@hwtours Mate, the wildlife in general is getting as bold as brass. Rats, Ibis, Seagulls, bats, bush Turkey's, even deer from the Royal National Park are roaming the streets in the Shire. 🐀🦩🕊🦇🦃🦌
Great city views HW! Never saw your opera house up close but it seems to be the sweet spot to view the city and the bridge. And your right...always thought the opera house was on big building...thanks for the new views of Sidney. Nice walk downtown too. Harbour Park looks promising. Have a great weekend!
Hi HW, What a lovely day it is in Sydney, with all that sunshine. Autumn has arrived in Yorkshire. Benny the seal looked like he was enjoying his rest, on the stairs of the Opera House. How long have the sea lions been in Sydney, especially Benny. The Opera bar looks a good place to have a drink and meal. Enjoy the weekend. 🙏
Hello 👋 from Canada 🇨🇦 again ..Fall 🍂 is here ..the colors are starting to show and sweater or jumpers as you call them in Australia 🇭🇲season has begun !❤🧡💛.Hopefully we can see your Spring blooms
Well hello there Benny 😁. The opera house was surely busy! Good for business having all the tourists around! What a great weather too. Each time I look at your videos I want coffee and get hungry 😂 and every time I see those sky scrapers I wanna live there cause those must be spectacular views from up there. You found a new friend, a juicy fat rat 😅 That man in front of you did the same thing looks like, both not using the pedestrian crossing hahaha. I felt seasick just watching that lil wharf brrrr How is the leg going now? Especially doing all that walking! Thanks again for another great vid HW🙏🏽
@@brenl5727 Was great running into Benny. Plenty of apartments to choose from in Sydney city. The hamstring is good. It made all the difference icing it soon after the injury. I’m back jogging on it, but won’t push my luck with any more sprints. Have a good week.

Hi HW. I'll be in Melbourne next week. As to the Opera House, I'd say it's 1 big building, but with 2 separate roof structures over the 2 main performance venues - the Concert Hall and the Joan Sutherland Theatre. Most views of the Opera House that people overseas would see show a side view, so they do get a bit of a surprise when seeing it in person.
@@daveg2104 Yeh when considering the overall structure, especially the lower levels it’s one big building. But yeh I was mainly talking about the sails.
@@hwtours Apparently Melbourne is the only place in the world that has good coffee. Or so Melbourne people keep telling me. I'll definitely give your recommendation a try.
Hi HW, great vid as always. The thing that startled me about walking around the Opera House, was that the tiles were not white as depicted in many pictures but a dirty white/grey colour. Still an icon though in the true sense of the word.
I know right. The tiles have a real dull colour from all the patterns and grooves in them. I managed to get a couple of clips in even with the dud mic. Good news is I have finally worked out the right settings for the wireless ones I have. So from now on we should have much better audio. Thanks for watching as always Vince.
Yeah, the tiles are kind of dull, and there is a 2 tone colour scheme. You wouldn't want shiny white tiles though, as the reflection of the Sun, particularly in Summer, would be blinding.
As always, a good vid and walk. Looks like a large area of Barangaroo waiting to be developed. I never tire seeing the harbour. Is the model of Sydney under the glass floor still in customs house?
Thank you for this lovely video. Such a beautiful harbour. Love Sydney city. Spring a nice time of year too .
