Must have been quite a sight to see that shark come up and eat the rubbish in Darling Harbour; I guess they hang around in there, waiting for a drunken punter to fall in...😆 Right at the end there, just before you enter Central, is a florist shop on the left that's been there for Donkey's years. About 28 years ago, I bought a little cactus in a ceramic boot, for my girlfriend. Next January, we bring up 25 years of marriage, so everytime we walk past that florist, we reminisce.... Awesome stroll around the city, HW. 🐓👍 Jim.
Thank you. I do miss this beautiful city. Loved having our Christmas parties on the big boats in Sydney Harbour. You make these videos so interesting 😊
@@deborahwalton4508 Yep I’ve seen many a party on those cruises. But sometimes you get stuck on lame ones and can’t get off. Some people used to jump off and swim to shore to escape. Thanks for watching. 🙏
Thanks for the Northern Hemisphere shout out ..we here 🇨🇦 are in our ☁️ cloudiest month of the year November..plus the night 🌙 will seen even longer as we put clocks ⏰️ back an hour on Sunday so sunset 🌇 will be a 5 pm falling to 4:30pm by December 😮🥺
NICE!!!! Love a good Burger! But eat them very infrequently now. So, you guys get that humidity too? Thats the worst part of summer over here in SC. Love your harbor...hope to visit it someday! Nice walk around. Now I'm craving a burger for lunch! PS cool about the Matrix tunnel. Best movie in its time!

Hi HW. The birds you were thinking of in the NT were Black-necked (Jabiru) Storks. Jabiru is actually a similar stork from Central/South America. The statues in the fountain are Brolgas, a type of crane. Here endeth the ornithology lesson.

🌁🏙 It has been so long since we have been to Darling Harbour. What is the train station there? Actually, I got my Citizenship at the International Center there, I think it is called LLC. (Also, the fact that I am from the US, it was so amazing seeing how the time around Christmas is so laid back, just so awesome to be here in Sydney. But we have to make the effort to come down here more often.)🙏❤🌷👌
@@maryshamon7704 Darling Harbour has changed a lot in the last 10 years and now it’s under yet more redevelopment. O'Neill's Buildings in Campbell St housed (from the Fire Underwriters map post 1917) from the left - a Chinese merchants named The Wing Sang Company Limited, Hong Kong Cafe and B Callose and Sons Limited Italian Merchants. The whole building was at one stage Wing Sang and Company, and it was also owned by Sir Samuel Hordern KBE (yes, those Horderns) at one time, not sure of the years though. Before the commercial buildings went up, there were terrace houses along Campbell St, although it wasn't the most salubrious area. Legit business in the front, shady stuff in the back. The area opposite those buildings was formerly The New Belmore Markets. A lot of the market facade was incorporated into the Capitol Theatre.
I can confirm we did indeed get a Thunderstorm last night as predicted by the plane watchers.
