The Philly Dreamlovers were also one of my very favorite groups. Their slow songs were all beautiful, their harmonies were always gorgeous and the lead singer, Conrad Dunn, had a beautiful baritone / low tenor voice. I Ioved everything they ever did including some upbeat tunes like Amazon's And Coyotes. The fact that I was also a Philly girl made them even better to me.

I raised my kids on Doo Wop so when my daughter was married I made a Doo-Wop tape to play at the wedding - and this was the first song on that tape - which I still have - from December 31st 1985 -New ears Eve - the night Ricky Nelson died in that plane crash
That lead voice says it all for me from his first lyric. I wanted that for my daughters wedding but I didn't have a chance although a lot of her older guests would know every note. For my part all I need is the leads rendition and my mind would fill in the rest.
Now I know the original 👍..I only knew this song when Larry Graham sang it..thanks..I like when I can know this..good trivia when people think they just know 😂..
