    From an audio engineering perspective that compressor preset is a bit overkill with the attack at 0ms, that’s why the voice looses its clarity, keeping it between 5 to 15 should do the trick

    • @YoungNino2017
      @YoungNino2017 2 ปีที่แล้ว +17

      Dude have you ever checked out the single band compressor in Premiere? It doesn't work the way any real compressor is supposed to... you literally have to triple every setting to get the result you want; you need about a 15:1 ratio to get what would be a 4:1 on a compressor where the settings were calibrated correctly. Same with the threshold, attack, release.

    Hey, Jordy thank you so much for such an amazing tutorial. I am just a college student and I actually mix and produce music and shoot the videos by myself so I am always in this channel for the video production aspect of things. But this tutorial was so much fun to watch. Really cool that these audio editing techniques can be done in Premiere too!
    Jordy if it's not too much trouble for you guys, could you make a video on how to get/record good audio for short films, documentaries, etc with the limited resources a person can have? That would be so amazing!
    Thanking you in advance! Keep making people smile ad keep being awesome my friend! :)

    I like the “Internet Delivery” compression preset. Couple that with a little EQ and you get great sounding audio that you don’t have to struggle to hear.

  • @CameronLockey
    @CameronLockey ปีที่แล้ว +10

    This was a great introduction to the parametric EQ and single band compressor! Thanks Jordy! I've been using 10-band EQ in Premiere and Audition but I think this works better as for my purposes I don't need that much granularity.

      he missed removing the S sound. there is an effect in DaVinci Resolve called Desseser that does that. also, is it possible to make the audio sound like studio dubbing? because even his audio doesn't fit a movie or a game..

  • @blackrayz256
    @blackrayz256 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Thanks Jordy for the turtorial. Well on my side, I am used to using premier pro's audio "Essential Audio" pannel mainly to balance my volume levels for wether Dialogue, Sfx, Ambience or Music by simply clicking Auto-Match. Then i can add a little de-noiser, de-hummer, de-reverb depending on the cleanliness of the audio.
    From there i also clean my audios using an EQ by chopping all the peaking sounds at any frequency. I then add another EQ to boost my lows to give it a more cinematic feel and then am good to go😋
