I was just changing my u joints and upon removing my driveshaft, I saw my damn boots were all corroded and destroyed, now I have to get a CV joint, I'm looking at Rock auto, about 60$ any suggestions? Any other sights ?
Nzot sure if i have the same problem you can hear mine like a grinding clicking sound and im pretty sure its this.but i keep seeing in my searches that its the bearing. Is their a bearing in the drive shaft?
Might want to check the front differential. I had a clicking noise in the front of my Alpha that increased or decreased with speed. My ring and pinion needed replaced.
+Juvia MSP There are a lot of things that can cause squeaking in front suspension systems. Is the sound more pronounced when you are going over bumps? Or is it a constant rolling squeak?
Yes you can, but the tcase has to be in high lock. I drove my H3 for a month while waiting for my Taton front driveshaft (requires a Thor Parts adaptor).
Why bother with all that? You can get whole new driveshat with new universal and there end assembly for $135. Just pull old shaft off n install the new one, easy peasy!
Thanks for making this video. I ordered the part from america and was able to change mine.
Thank you for making this video.

How tf do you get the sr clip in place? It seems impossible to get engaged on the drive shaft

I'm going to install my next week, just waiting for the part. did you torch them all the same to 15 foot pounds right? thanks.
15 foot pounds for all driveshaft bolts, yes.
Quick ? If that part broke completely inside will it cause the vehicle not to move
Yes. AWD Hummers have mechanically-dependent front and rear axles (locked transfer case).
I did this and now my battery seems dead and my shifter will not go into neutral to complete this 🤦🏾♂️
Is that why mine is making a click noise when I accelerate?
Now does it make like noise like grinding ??
my h3 hummer 08 is making a squeaking noise on the passenger side and the drive shaft was replaced 3 months ago.

Hub assembly/wheel bearing is my quess.
Install wasnt bad but it seems like my hummer is vibrating when i slow down any thoughts?
Don't slow down !
thanks....
Can you drive without the driveshaft?? Like 2wd? Thanks!
No. The H3s have a locked AWD transfer case.

****That Ebay link doesn't work anymore. Got a better one?****
Hey you know the bad symptoms about that part?
Most common indicator is a knocking noise at low speeds, and/or a vibration at high speeds.
My drive shaft does not turn like yours easily.
are you in neutral?
