Hi Guy's. I know it was a while ago but I watched with interest your topic on the water pipe problem. I went to my local Wickes store and found this item (Flexible Waste connector pipe) Price at £6.49. It's 11/4" pipe and 18" ins (450mm) So easy to fit and it works. Malc from Staff's

Hi Keith, as you have already bought your "FIX" might I suggest you cut off the end of the tube with the black cap, then remove the filter from your hose then feed the hose through the remaining tube, refit the filter and fit assembly to the aquaroll as normal. The hose will now remain straight.
    Happy camping.😉

The accessory you show will fit your pipe as is as it is fitted with a strainer not a filter. Some caravans have proper carbon filled filters which are about 4" long so the tube has to shortened by that amount. Enjoyed the video.

Interesting stuff I'll be interested in seeing how you get on with it, my solution was to get a length of plastic rod from a model shop about the diamiter of 4mm cut it a little under the internal length of the aqua roll and then use several elastic band to fix it to the pipe, not sure if the plastic rod is food grade but as we only use the water for tea/coffee so its always boiled, this was only going to be a short term solution, so I'll wait for your verdict.
    Best wishes

Good tip , sometimes after I fill the aquaroll I get air in the pump , and the water will not flow , so out I go again , give it a wiggle up and down and that usually gets it going again , must be a male pump methinks Lol. Whale Pumps are made in a factory just down the road from me in Bangor , Co.Down N.Ireland and a nicer group of people you could ever meet , so helpful and caring in customer care and after sales , Google the tel. no . I'm sure they will help you with any problem , cheers Happy Caravanning !

Hi guys, there is an easier and cheaper way. I went to a diy store and got a length of copper radiator pipe cover, it's a plastic "C" shape pipe that you clip on to the copper pipe to your household radiator so you don't have to paint it. Just cut it to legnth and clip it on, and when your packing up just un clip it and you can still store your pipe rolled up in the sink, takes seconds and cost about £3 per meter.

He tied a few stainless steel washers with zip ties to it and hey presto worked everytime since.
Now I store it straight......i put a few self adhesive clips on the bulkhead in front locker.. high up to save any damage and store it there...safely....it comes out as straight and true every time now.... dont even need the weight any more.

    Hi Keith & Michelle,
We have a whale version but it has a pump which is heavier than yours I suspect, however you could have tried a piece of wood & a couple of elastic bands to keep it straight, I know hindsight is a wonderful thing but it would have been cheaper I suspect.

You don't need to pull the tube all the way out to fill with a watering can, etc as the gap around the tube is more than enough to pour the top-up water in! Just need to unscrew the cap and lift it up 6" or so.

We don't have this problem as we have the pump on the end which causes the pipe to sink - and there's an idea, zip tie a weight to the bottom end of the pipe...something like a stainless steel knife, obviously not a sharp one. Probably could pick one up from a charity shop grind off the blade....etc. A lot better than the pipe thing you recommend but haven't actually used because you think it might be a faff.
