FINALLY got this out!! It was originally planned to be uploaded on Wednesday but service in Hawaii has just been horrible. I hope you enjoy this “old but gold” 767. The next trip report should be next week and that’s the final one (Honolulu to Hilo with Hawaiian Airlines). Thank you all so much for being supportive and have a good day.

Yes, the 763 is a great aircraft still! United remains an underrated airline, as no ones gives attention to all of the positives (i.e. the small touches from crew members on this flight). Great video!
I agree, the B763 is old but gold! United is underrated, but airlines such as American and Delta are better (my opinion). Yup, the crew members were extremely kind on all of my United flights. Thanks for watching!

Great trip report! Love your wing view. More than 8 hours with only some snacks to eat is not enough. The crew on this flight were so friendly
Thank you! That’s the only thing I thought weird about the flight was the lack of catering. And I agree totally, the crew were so kind and amazing!

Good luck! United is pretty good with this but make sure you eat a good meal before flying, they only serve snacks twice on an eight and a half hour flight. Also the 763 is a very loud aircraft so just a heads up.

I love the 767-300ER, it sure has a lot of beauty left in it. I personally think the 767 is prettier than the 787 or A350 despite being a smaller plane!
The 767 is beautiful, yes it’s old but still operates actually very fine compared to newer models.

Hopefully United can return the 767-300's big sister, the 767-400s, back to service because I want to fly in one although I have never done it. If United keeps on flying 767-400s out of EWR, then I'll keep on flying United.
Yes, I’ve noticed United only flies their 763 out to Hawaii and never the 767-400. Either way the 767 is phasing out and will soon be a memory.

So once you leave the coast of California, how long is it until you see an island appear?
It takes about 4 and a half hours to see one of the Hawaiian islands, usually depending on where you’re flying you can see them like 30 minutes out of landing to HNL.

Yeah, I believe so. I’m not sure but I didn’t take anything just to be courteous.
How did you pause the video during the flight on your iphone?

Man I’d LOVE to fly the 787 to HNL.
My family and I flew from IAD TO HOnolulu and let’s just say they didn’t serve any food in economy. They only served drinks and boring a$$ pretzels. Let’s just say if I can help it, I will never fly United again. All the other airlines served food.
Right?! I’ve had so many problems with United, I just give up with them. Their 767’s are old and miserable. No food on a 10 hour flight.. only in the USA.

I’m surprised no one thought the black nail polish was weird even though I’m a guy. And yup, 8 and a half hours and only served pretzels. Those pretzels were eaten with maximum enjoyment though don’t worry.

Great video.......but I still for the life of me cannot understand the "it's a domestic flight" reason for not serving a hot meal. That is the lamest explanation. I've been flying to Hawaii in the 1970s and had wonderful meals on CONTINENTAL!!! United cheapens everything. What if the U.S. bought Japan.....then that same reasoning would mean that the flight from IAH to NRT would be domestic and still subject to crackers and cookies for 14 hours. I'd LOVE to see that. FYI....Hawaiian serves a meal in economy and always have, never stopped. The lack of competition in the mainland to Hawaii routes lets all of them do a lockstep on cheapening the service. Typical American attitude, the plane is full, they must be all right. PS: I meant to say, the flight crews always give excellent service. It's a hard job and they excel at it.
Thank you so much for the comment. Yes I agree, United has gotten more cheap over the years, even though they charge semi ridiculous prices for their tickets. In other countries with other airlines, you can get a hot meal for free on an hour flight. Just one of the many things wrong with American bases airlines such as UA. Thanks for watching.
