Arsenal have only dropped points to United at Old Trafford.
City have dropped points to Newcastle and Villa (who Arsenal beat).
Arsenal also beat Brentford who beat United and Palace & Fulham who both drew with Liverpool.
Arsenal have played teams that currently sit in 5th, 6th, 9th, 12th, 15th, 16th and 20th.That's an average position of 11.85.
City have played teams that currently sit in 10th, 12th, 15th, 16th, 17th, 18th and 19th.That's an average position of 15.29.
Given over the course of the season, your average position of opposition will be 10th, Arsenal's competition is only slightly below the level you'd expect it to be over the course of the season.
City meanwhile are below Arsenal and have played considerably worse opposition.
I certainly don't think Arsenal will win the league but I'm sick of hearing the same, lazy argument that we haven't beaten anyone of note from pundits whom, self admittedly here, don't even watch us play.
6 out of 7 wins in the Premier League IS something to note...

you do know that games are played twice right, you play the same team twice. Do you think the same Brantford can still beat Man U as we speak? It is not mathematics. They can still lose against the same team they beat earlier and that's what makes the game difficult. Keep dreaming and getting pissed every time someone said something you don't like

@@binouhtek8461 Yes. Of course they can. That's the whole point of what I'm saying. The league is tough. That doesn't mean they would but of course they could.
Also said I don't think Arsenal would win the league so not quite sure how I'm "dreaming" and it's not that they said something I don't like. It's that I don't like an uninformed opinion is being given a platform and a massive pay cheque when there are literally millions of fans who follow the league inside out and could construct something insightful who get ignored by the media.
Your comment doesn't even make sense as a response to what I said so maybe refrain from blindly hating and try to say something worthy of a debate.

Martinelli 21, Saka, 21, Odegaard 23, Emile Smith-rowe 22, Saliba 21. Outside of Partey and Xhake, the "experienced" players, Jesus, Zinkchenko, Gabriel, Tierney are all around 24/25. The brilliant talent knocking on the first team door at Hale End Academy. To say this Arsenal team is well below its potential ceiling is an understatement. The team and individual player's can only improve. The club as a whole, is in a very healthy place. Mertesaker, Edu and Arteta have to take credit for that. If this young team can finish in the top 3 this season then they are ahead of schedule. Anything more is a bonus. I would love the team to have a title push with City all the way. Regardless if they fall off towards the end of the season the team will grow and learn as they did from the disappointment of last season. Chelsea are relying on a 33 year old striker. Spurs have 2 world class players in Kane and Son. 29 and 30 respectively. In 4/5 years Arsenals front 3 will be at the beginning of their prime while Kane and Son will be in the MLS. Slightly tongue in cheek😆 but you get my point🤷‍♂️ this Arsenal squad is almost a generation behind some of its rivals with regards to the age of some of the players. Yet these players are already crucial members of the first team. Winning the title is a distant dream at the moment. All they can do is stay there or there abouts and hope City have a minor catastrophe this season. 2nd place is definitely a realistic finish though. Liverpool are there for the taking without a doubt.

The biggest difference between this year and last year is Jesus, Saliba and the depth. Having Jesus at the striker position is obvious. Also what Saliba has done to shore up the center of the park is amazing for such a young player. The depth though is where we'll see if this team can push for the next level. Last year if they were without Tomiyasu and Tierney they were getting turned over. If they were without Odegaard they had no attacking threat. They still need some depth at the 6 and on the wings to maybe make the final step to challenging for the top prizes. When Partey was out Sambi filled in admirably, but you could see the difference the positioning of Partey made against Brentford in controlling the game as compared against United. I fear the same if Saka or Martinelli miss a chunk of time.

"Arsenal haven't been challenged as much as Spurs have"
... By what metric? Arsenal dropped points to Manchester United, where apparently Ten Haag has finally turned things around, at Old Trafford and currently sit 5th in the league.
Meanwhile, Tottenham dropped points to Chelsea - who have recently sacked their manager for lackluster performances - and to the third worst team in the league, West Ham (who currently sit 18th).

I feel like we still can’t say we’re competing for the League title per se.

Mikel may be a rookie coach but boy that man is gonna be a top coach in the future, and this arsenal team will develop so bad. Fighting for the title doesn’t necessarily mean you will win it. But at least compete.

2 is that even MCity also got a draw against a team they supposedly have to win and we are . We lost the ManU game due to different reasons but anyone who saw the game we were worthy of a win or a draw

I remember when people were mocking Arsene Wenger in his early days at arsenal at his coaching philosophy. The media even had an agenda and tried to smear his reputation so he would be sacked. It was absolutely disgraceful what the media were publishing about Wenger. And all because he upset the apple cart. These pundits are in the dark ages. Football moves with the times, and juat because something is different, it doesn't make it inferior. The lack of respect Arteta is given here, by these 'has been' pundits is shocking. If Arteta is Ted Laso, then what does that make David Moyes and Brendan Rogers? Funny how the pundits are giving them an easy ride 🤷‍♂️

We r nt aiming fr tht title.. we just aiming for consistency and improvement n upgrade. N it is so far so good bt coming soon spudsy liv and mancity. Wht will they gt from 9 point. Tht will dtermine hw far they cme.
With arsenal it just simple. Partey out for long time their season over yet again. They just need reliable bckup cover for their key player espcially no 1 partey. Then gabriel. And saka.
Imagine they adding danilo/savic + neto/zaha. That will upgrade their mid n attacking department masively in term of squad depth. Bt major improvement is their defence. For once.. tierney out there zinny.. ben out there tomi.. saliba or gab out ben there. Aslong these spine ddnt gt long term injuries they cn go further. Even the keeper. We dont knw w the backup turner yet
Bt their most important key player tht wil define their top 4 again will be on thomas partey. If he miss another 50% game of the season tht will cost them big time yet again
