Hiya friends! This week I'm (finally) making a diy wood coffee table that is perfectly sized for my space! I designed this to have sleep lines and modern rustic finished. I wanted natural wood, with pretty wood grain, and landed on a charred wood effect; I think this fits my vision perfectly! This diy table is so easy to make it and can be made without any special tools. When I complete projects like this, it makes me wonder why nobody ever taught me how to build things when I was younger. A table so simple to make... I hope you enjoy it! Love!

Hi Dalia, aside from this stunning table you made, I'd like to say that I'm also very proud of you for going out by yourself! I'm autistic so I know how difficult some social things can be, but it's always good to give yourself an extra big pat on the back for doing this type of stuff. Keep up the good work

please don’t ever change and stay true to yourself. You’ve been creating the most cost efficient DIY that is sooooo affordable. You seriously don’t understand how much that means to some people who are struggling in these hard economic times but still want a decent living temp space and custom home to come home to. I’ve seen so many YTers who started off like this and then once they blew up its like they forgot who their main audience were and how we helped them get to where they are now. Now all of a sudden instead of seeing them making trips to thrift stores they make trips to pottery barn, anthropology, or restoration hardware. We. Love you girl; stay original. You’re such a beautiful soul. ❤️😘

I've been watching your videos for a while now, but I missed this one! Good timing for me because I'm making a sofa table and was going to use an ebony (black) stain, but this looks SO GOOD. I'm going to look for this stain! 😍🖤 My home is too posh and clean and needs some texture. Also, I understand the social anxiety. Your coffee table is beautiful! As someone who also suffers from social anxiety I applaud you for going shopping by yourself. To others who don’t know how difficult social anxiety can be, it may seem like such a small thing. It’s not! Good for you! And please do take the time to care for your mental health, no video is more important than your health, physical or mental! I really love your channel, your videos and the music you play. I actually started a playlist on my Spotify called “just breathe” with those songs. And they have really helped me with my anxiety. So thank you for introducing me to these songs. I watch your videos and am always impressed by how creative and fearless you are, never afraid to tackle any project. I also think how naturally beautiful you are, how sweet you seem and how fortunate to have your husband and beautiful home...so many things to admire.
And then you share your struggles with social anxiety and I'm reminded how often these days I may look at someone and think, "Oh, what a perfect life!", and then am reminded that we're all battling our own demons. Every one of us. So thank you for sharing that. It makes you real. And let me be your cheerleader, Yay for you!!! For going out on your own, even though it scared you. I've always loved this quote about courage. Courage isn't the absence of fear. Courage is being afraid and doing it anyway. So you can be proud of yourself for so many things.

love this project. and all of your amazing DIYs. i also appreciate your openness about your need to protect your mental heath. i want to suggest the use of wood glue when joining pieces. as it dries it is stronger than even screws, so i have been told. and here's hoping that you have a lovely holiday.
