I can just imagine someone on one of those trains looking out and saying "Oh look, there's some poor sod standing in the snow with a video camera". Well, we are all indebted to you.
Brilliant - this brings back some right memories! I don't think you can still get down there, can you? Not tried for years, but went past not long ago and it was all heavy security gates and the like - depressing. Spent a great part of my youth down there, watching 20's, 31's, 37's, 47's, 56's... Great stuff!
Fascinating Old Footage here... All the old liveries, and the trains travelled really slowly back then! And they're very infrequent, you will probably have seen one every 15 minutes or so... And this is a mainline..
I think you ought to rename the video? This is very special footage, as it is still in the BR era. Perhaps the name should be relevant to the fact that there are many old trains in this video...
Ah,the remains of what was once a railway before it was run by 900 different mickey mouse companys with 3,000 different logo's and colour schemes. The days before trains were run for profit ONLY.
I'd sooner watch american trains any day rather than the mickey mouse shite we have here now! A 15'000 ton BNSF coal train with 3 engines on the front and another 3 or 4 on the back climbing a 2% grade is a REAL train!!
This has just appeared on my feed ...brilliant !!👍

Haha,I can't believe 2 people have bothered to dislike this! The title of the video is "trains in the snow"! What were they expecting to see?
