I had a 2005 Hinda Jazz (called that in Australia). When I went to get a baby capsule fitted the woman took ages - she said she had never seen an anchor point like the one in the car. Must be a Honda thing.
Wow you actually had to sit in there? Yikessss. I hope they at least get an ash tray and lay out a towel or something for the dog in the future. Not completely trashing your car REALLY isn't rocket science lol
As a former smoker, I understand the stench from a car that’s been smoked in. I can’t stand to be around cigarettes so bless you for taking on these stink mobiles!
I want to Gag imagining how bad the smoke smell is in that car. Although you are a GREAT & PROFESSIONAL car detailer, you can only do what you can do and will never be able to alleviate the smoke smell permanently as It will permeate every exposed and hidden surface. You do GREAT work. Keep on pushing forward.
It must be so nice to not have to open your garage door to wash the back end of vehicles anymore! Your new studio is what you deserve! I go way back to when you started out in your little garage and you worked hard to enjoy your new property 🥰
Just cleaned my car last week. Cursed the Velcro carpet 😆. But it felt so good to have it clean. My car never gets that dirty, just normal life. Hats off to you DG!
I feel like watching your videos could help someone pick out their next vehicle. You don't sugar coat things when it comes to the quality and builds of the cars that you detail.
You dont know if she is still smoking. So basically you're asuming that this lady is still smoking when she actaully could be trying to quit and thats why she's getting it clean, all Im saying is to have some consideration rather than assuming
@miss.truffle5587lol r u the smoker? why so defensive. this comment is not making any assumptions about the lady’s current status as a smoker this car’s messy state is a product of chain-smoking. It IS fitting to say holy smokes. Whether she’s still smoking or not lol
Friday is Mitch day😊🇿🇦 Thank you for 3+/- years of Detail Geek 🚗 and about 1 year(I think) of Yard Geek 🛠️🏞️ I wish you and you family all the best always 😊 Have a wonderful weekend to Mitch and all who might see this 😊❤
It is really hard to not judge people who have cars like that. I mean I did go for like 2 months without cleaning my car, but it would never look like that. Also, all my friends here in Switzerland who also work a lot find time to vacuum once a while and drive through a car wash. It takes just a few minutes and makes a HUGE difference! Just crazy to watch.
I live in the same city as you Mitch , and I’m so embarrassed that these car owners could be my neighbours . But without these unfortunate people your channel wouldn’t be as much fun to watch . It is pure magic what you can do !
Hello there Mitch. It is always a pleasure seeing you and watching your awesome videos 📸📷. I still don't understand why people neglect there vehicles. But you Mitch are so incredible and you have the courage to bring these vehicles to life and make them look like brand new. Thank you so very much for everything you do. Your hard work and dedication is very very outstanding 👍💪 May you have a wonderful blessed weekend
There's only 1 solid answer for why car companies don't use it even if it isn't the greatest quality but is easy to clean; because they found something even cheaper lol. Love this channel
My late mother was a smoker and she smoked inside her vehicle and it was my job too keep it clean and smelling fresh until the day she passed away it most definitely was a labor of love😏
From Australia 🇦🇺 ❤ notice that you miss the hub caps could be dirt & mud behind them. Please just check. Thank you. I love the program and content 🇨🇦❤
Thanks for your videos, Mitch. From these videos, I’ve learned how to clean my own car! I’m hoping to try your products this summer when it is warm enough to get outside to clean it again!
My husband had an ‘07 Fit. We had a German Shepherd mix and I can 100% attest to the hair not wanting to come out of the seats. We absolutely loved that car. Packed a week’s worth of tent camping supplies and the dog into that car multiple times. Best memory has to be hauling a bunch of 8’ foot landscaping timbers in it. 😂
I just bought my first car back in March of this year! She's a 2016 Honda Fit, and maybe it's first car syndrome but I loveeee that car. I call her my itty bitty Honda Fitty. They may be compact vehicles but they are very practical!
@@emilydeklerk7132 I bought my first car back in February of 2024. 2016 Honda Fit EX-L. I'm so in love with these compact hatchbacks. A shame they're not popular in the US. Such a versatile car.
Love the Honda Fit. Had a 2012 Fit Sport it was a great car and I would still be driving it if I hadn't gotten a sweet deal on a friends car and sold the Fit. That carpet was the same as what I had in mine. I hated that "carpet" which was more like felt glued to a plastic backing but it was easy to clean and I had floor liners in mine. This one turned out great!
I loved the cupholder, central console, and trimming! 😂😂😂 Liked the vaccum could not remove anything from the cup holder because it was just glued by grime! Really enjoy owner reaction! Very satisfying!
Another great video! The "before" condition of the car tells a lot about the owner: #1. She appears to be lazy. #2. Within 3 to 6 months, the car will be filthy again.
Didn't know a lot of people put engine block heaters in Gas cars. I know it's big with diesels. The cold up in Canada hits differently, tho, and I'm sure it's necessary.
It’s regional though. In the prairies where it’s often below -20 C all vehicles have block heaters and parking lots and apartments all have power outlets. Here in southern Ontario it’s rarely below-20 C and maybe half even have block heaters, and good luck finding a place to plug in besides your house.
I am a detailer in Brazil. I recently did a Honda Fit that was the same, same year. I had to disassemble the interior. I didn't have any problems with the front seat belt like you did. Did Honda change the fastening system in Canada?
I use a carpet cleaner called odo-ban on nasty dirty seats and carpet. It’s pretty cheap for a gallon at Home Depot. It definitely helps with the smoke smell a lot and works great on stains.
Hey Mitch. Beautiful job on this 2008 Honda Fit. I have the sligjtly newer 2013 Honda Fit and it's virtually identical. It's much roomier on the inside than it's golf cart appearance from outside. The carpet is super cheap. I love the way you cleaned the interior so well. Those seats turned out amazing. The camera off focus was funny. We love tech when it works. I hope you had a great day!! Thanks for the lesson in how to clean this car. Have a wonderful weekend and rest your back. ❤
Although I don’t drive, as someone who has never smoked, if I could drive and had a car, I would be exactly the same, I wouldn’t have even tolerated someone smoking anywhere near the car lol. Just a disgusting habit that not only affects the person smoking, but others around them. Yuck.
WOW! Just WOW! Phenomenal work. That cup holder was foul but cleaned up beautifully. I’m a Honda lass, for my family vehicle. I usually drive my F-150 for errands, etc. I have a 2022 Pilot and it’s absolute rubbish! It has a little over 32,000km on it and I’m taking it back and trading it. The speakers have gone out twice, the windshield literally cracks with any small pebble hitting it, (I’m on windshield #3, bought the special warranty for it), the whole thing is a bloody nightmare. Do not buy a 2022 Pilot! It is easy to clean, I’ll say that for it.
Mitch not sure if you already answered this but does the steamer gets to affect the speakers? Also its the first time i hear you talk about sore back. I get that a lot everytime i detail my car. Get a good massage! Keep it up 🎉
Holy Tar and Nicotine Batman, that car interior was grotty !!!! The center console was disgusting and you did an amazing job making all of it look almost new. You are hero of the neat freaks everywhere. 😃
17:11 ok call me an idiot, but wouldnt be easier to blast that whole center console with degreaser, steamerl, then wash it off and call it a day? Good vid much love from the PNW!
I'm playing Powerwash Simulator while watching somebody power washing the same car my mom had 15 years ago, across an ocean... what has tech done to us
We bought a work ute whos previous owner was a smoker. I sprinkled bicarb on the seats and vacuumed a few times before washing the seats and carpet with my steamer and apholstery cleaner. Repeated the process twice and you can't smell the cigarette anymore.
Would you ever incorporate like a cerakote headlight restorer? That's the best ceramic restorer I've ever used. Cloudy headlights really age a car and renewing them is a huge bump in the overall look (and probably resale value haha)
What an INSANE transformation and awesome owner reaction!!
HUGE Black Friday sale on right now over at detailgeekautocare.com!!
Can’t wait!
I had a 2005 Hinda Jazz (called that in Australia). When I went to get a baby capsule fitted the woman took ages - she said she had never seen an anchor point like the one in the car. Must be a Honda thing.
I wonder if she'll keep it clean.
I'm so Thankful I live in Florida. Burr
Hi, what steam cleaner do you use?
I love how he’s just roasting everyone today! 😂 the city, the car, the Honda factory. Er’body catching strays today lol
Even myself 🤣

As a passenger of this car I can vouch for what a difference you made 🤩 Totally different vehicle. Thank you, Mitch!
Sad that she will probably trash it again.

So how does it get so bad 😅
Wow you actually had to sit in there? Yikessss. I hope they at least get an ash tray and lay out a towel or something for the dog in the future. Not completely trashing your car REALLY isn't rocket science lol

Great job Detail Greek!! It just blows my mind how people let their vehicle get that far gone!
Winter just started here in Pittsburgh Pa and I'm not feeling it😓
Where I come from we refer to those people as scumbags.

I never would have thought about that , that's a great thought
At least Japanese cars tend to be reliable, getting to your destination is the primary goal.
Her “holy smokes” reaction seems fitting.

An amazing transformation! I am glad you wear a respirator for smoke filled cars.
16:35 I think your camera might have gotten confused and it thought the car was a Ford Focus.
Love it when you take out the center console. Great job, like always!
