@@GTReactions If you don't mind, I'll explain here (LONG TEXT) : BTS' company BigHit was created by their CEO Bang PD, the company was putting out other groups while joining under other bigger companies, nearly went bankrupt in 2007 Bang PD pulled BigHit out of the joint companies, he didn't like how the toxic music industry treat their artists, he started trying to build his own groups from then on After coming across BTS' first member RM (well respected underground rapper/producer, 16/7 at the time), Bang PD was inspired to build a Hip Hop group around him (2010) At first, BTS was supposed to be a pure Hip Hop group, but Bang PD decided he wants to challenge the Kpop industry, and started looking for singers and dancers to form an idol group RM and Suga (Agust D) were from underground, so they've been called sell-outs and girls for wearing stage makeup a lot, their music were dismissed as not hip hop and they were told that they weren't real rappers cuz they dance as well. Idol fans also called them ugly, made fun of their hip hop styles etc. Since BigHit was small and the music industry in Korea was basically dominated by the "Big 3" companies, BTS couldn't promote much on TV, their shows were cut short, even their debut stage was to fill in someone else's spot (2013) Because they don't get opportunities on Korean broadcasts, they started promoting on TH-cam and Twitter. Slowly, they started to gain an international fanbase with their talent as the Big 3 couldn't reach that far to cover them up The company had no money and was entirely relying on BTS financially, so the members had to do part time jobs like being back up dancers, even when they were more famous and winning music shows (their song actually went on Billboard chart as well) (2015) Mind you, people were impressed by their music and dance moves, but the large companies tried to shut them out, even purposefully guiding large fandoms to attack them As time passes, foreign fans started to overpower the local fans, it was until the media couldn't hide their success anymore (achievements overseas) that they started to get recognized by their own country (2016-17) As they get bigger, so does the hate: petitions, death threats, racist comments, daily internet attacks.... They also had to deal with a lot of their own personal problems, like mental health issues, eating disorder, loosing family members etc. OMG I rambled so much, anyways, they have been through so much shit and they are still facing lots of barriers, like America being xenophobic, giving them small awards when their sales are higher than any other artists (without bundles) etc etc So us as fans can get quite defensive when negative things are said, also diss tracks they put out, like this one, are extremely therapeutic because of their underdog story💜

My Emperor Agust D is related to Last Empress Of Korea and he casually used the MV as an excuse to sit on the throne that is his by blood. He casually reminded some low level haters that some people are born a Kings - not just their blood, like he is, but doing the hard work to become good in his craft, like the poor-born who he is IRL, by killing the noble blooded himself. (This kind of a mirrors his real life story where poor Min Yoongi had to run from home because his parents were dead set against his music career "I killed Min Yoongi" say one of his older lyrics - his quite strict and old fashioned (?) father might have disinherited him then.. Min Yoongi's choice to defy his parent was sure way to 'kill' himself in their eyes. So he had no way to go back, but to show his parents that he can rise to be Emperor - king of kings - in his chosen profession.{And he has done that!}) The video is filmed in permanent historical drama set that is built in Korea that usually is fully booked, but was incidentally free last spring. There is a quite well made copy of the Emperor's main palace that actually is in the capital. (The same REAL palace that idol group that he is part of, published two live stages last week, from that real original palace in their capital for Jimmy Fallon's BTS week) (Two of his group members make a cameo in the MV fighting behind him in the old village. Two fighting are the eldest and youngest of the idol group. {Age is tremendously important for person's status in their culture, that's why it is important to notice that it is youngest hitting the eldest - once again they are trying to break their old culture molds for the better world!}) Daechwita is a march type of a traditional music style's name that is played in parades, especially when Emperor is on the move (also when Emperor is marching to war). Practically the song meaning is "Your One and Only Emperor is on Warpath right NOW!" His explanation about the song is also interesting.. ;D
