    My oldest son is in his early 20's and he has type 1 diabetes. But thank God for this piece of article th-cam.com/users/postUgkxVYhghKWmrUgXARZ_ydZTvmmcrw5L0I5i At first he thought he had the flu and was lying down on the bed for three days until his sister took him to the hospital. They took his blood and it was 600. What I do not understand is how he could have gotten it, since no one in the family has it. But he is winning the battle now. This is good stuff.

    Thank you, so much. To me it was clearly hearable (in reference to another comment bellow) and I do appreciate that you did not gotten lost in details you have presented in other VDOs (about the damage mechanism).

    Clearest explanation of CKD and its cause! Thanks!
    Would love to see your "powers of explanation" used to outline the latest research into reversing CKD or better treating it? (eg SGLT2, GLP-1 etc) - the current explanation of which I find impenetrable as a lay person!

I know it's my fault but I really want to fight since I didn't achieve anything in life yet and I'm already 34. I hope I can finance continually my medications to avoid these complications.

    Thank you very much for this mind blowing information.I have one question.....you described about RAAS,its mechanism is vasoconstriction in efferent arteriole when there is renal perfusion right..Then why it’s get activated during increased glomerular filtration¿

    • @fahadafridi8173
      @fahadafridi8173 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Watch at 7:10 he explains that the etiology is not known but they think it might have to do with the fact that hyperglycemia some how activates RDA system

    • @annawright4545
      @annawright4545 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I see you have asked this 3 yrs ago - but I am here just now and taking a chance to have a reason "speculated" out on it: perhaps this is a defensive mechanism where the kidneys choose the less worse scenario by trying to stabilize the post glomerular (afferent) blood-pressure and to "push back" against the increased filtration. This - if I think of kidneys as organs actively regulating the hydraulic side of the main blood pressure. AND/OR: it is a direct and swift way to flush out excess glucose (since the Renin is triggered by high blood sugar in a direct and immediate short circuit in the kidney).

    This is a beautifully done, clear, concise and well illustrated. Thank you.
    I do have some critique still - I could barely hear you. Also, I think you did not really explain the pathological changes which happen in the arteries and arterioles of the kidney (as in the lesions of these)... some lesions which lead to glomerulosclerosis? Or maybe you did but without the nomenclature which is used? :(

    I think RAAS reponds to low blood pressure. It leads to constriction of afferent arterioles not efferent arterioles so that it can decrease the GFR and maintain the volume of blood and can subsequently maintain the blood pressure. You have explained RAAS increases GFR. Can you elaborate a bit
