That is a coincidence. Actually, programming standards 80 characters has to do with early punchcards, size of US dollars in late 19th century and US population census, it is fascinating story, really.
And correspondingly, the early teletype terminals such as those o the PDP-11 displayed text in lines of 80 characters. This is where the _de facto_ in the programming community arose from. The IETF still publishes their RFCs in 80-column monospace, too! 😋

One thing I do while on mobile is I scroll so that the ad is just outside of view and read the text of the article.
