Probably a better run through than the dealer will give at handover!

4:58 whats in the submenu? Is it possible to have different heights?

At 0:55 the estimated ESB group, range shows 460m, ?
    Not km?
    What is ESB group ?
Can you explain why the 397km if you turn off AC is still lower than the 460? Sorry if I’m missing something here.

The UI seems like a pretty good step up from the older EV6.
However I feel like the menus feel a bit “cramped” because of how small the screen is, and the UI isn’t on par with the likes of the Volkswagen ID.4 yet.

I definitely prefer it to gen 1 EV6 for sure. I think a single tile high like the main menu is the way to go for sure. I also think there should be a static icon size and a driving icon size

Hi Derek. I'm assuming one cannot set colours on any of the menu tiles/icons? It would certainly help to differentiate them for ease of use whilst driving (I guess some have no usable options while the vehicle is in mition)...

There seems to be a pull-down menu in top of the infotainment screen. Can you also cover that? I guess shortcuts can be added there. If so, can the ‘mute speed limit warning’ button be added there? 😅

Hello, great video. Can you close the windows or sunroof via app or is it just showing you if you left it open but cannot control by the app?

    • @NevoEVReviewIreland
      @NevoEVReviewIreland  14 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

Correct, just the status no remote control unfortunately

Yes, on the car infotainment screen or the app

Thanks for this Derek. Very useful for someone about to take delivery of an EV3! One thing I didn’t see is the seat cooling. Heated seats is nice for winter sure, but living in the South of Spain, far more important to me is seat cooling. How is his done?

I've seen cooling seats too but it's not an Irish spec I think

On the media side of things. Isn't there a netflix or youtube app included?
And is the AI assistant operational?

What this was is a magnificent demonstration of how comparatively lowly cars have just got too complicated. What we actually need is to be able to jump in the car and go without having to think too much about anything else. Getting into a car I am interested in speed, revs (if still an ICE), and possibly heating not anything else. If I want infotainment I have both an iPhone and iPad, but mostly I do not. I just want to get in and drive knowing that the way it was set up last time is still working this time. What is especially annoying is that I am having to pay over the top for all this complication I do not want.

Am here because it ought to be possible to design simpler more driver focused EVs with lighter batteries and better handling. Infotainment is simply not very important to produce a good EV, and seems to be responsible for building several bad ones. Just my opinion.

@@PaulMeier-cu3ds Any modern car with all its features that are wanted or needed by the vast majority of consumers the car needs a deep infotainment system. Wanna go back to the dark ages then you can pick an older car.
There are already driver focused smaller battery, better handling cars: renault 5 or Alpine a290, peugeot e208, abarth etc. they exist, this is not the car for you :)

We agree this is not the car for me. I also agree with your choice of alternatives but might add Mini and Smart. I find my iPhone does enough infotainment for me and definitely do not need need a deep infotainment system.

The UI still looks like something from the 1990's
