I might be the only one who feels like Luard is really good. The deck can plus so much and is so consist (don't have to draw any of your pieces). On paper, it seems like you attack less, but the Dragstrider makes up for it because 56K, 2 crit, 4 drives is actually broken in D since you never have enough shield because G1s are only 5K shield. The only issue I have with the deck is having enough shield to tank anything, so you wanna max out the ritual 10K shield G1 and run 2 Topaz.
@@manofthepeople2165 The deck is good, but it got nerffed a lot compared to other stuff. I've been play testing alot Luard (after all it is my fav card since G) but I feel like they could have nerffed morfessa in one other way, even if just made the g-zone face up 2 being 1 instead.
@@TeamWildCardsPT1 g zone card face up would have been perfectly fine but if course they couldnt do that. Yet they gave Shiranui everything and made the whole deck broken.
@@TeamWildCardsPT yeah it's sad. early game is lacking compared to Jet and honestly, if you are playing a crest deck, you should be winning in the late game anyways. right now the meta is really fast with youthberk so the biggest thing is surviving till you reach your dragstrider turn, then u'll probably win.
Thing that hurts the most for me is Luard is unfortunately restricted to Ritual units with Dragstrider. I’m not against the mechanic, but the appeal of tool-boxing Luard with different random G1’s seemed really fun to brainstorm. Also would give use to some common cards which would be cool for a change. But maybe that’s too much to ask for :/
Note: When your opponent VG got dominated and u get Dragveda from the drive checks, you can stand your opponent VG to attack again (Only if there's target left to attack) and yes drive checks again. Since the OT activates during the battle, it doesn't end Dominate effects. Mentioned by VG judge from twitter.
@@Rayan01012if you hit the OT it auto-restands, so you can choose to attack another rear guard and get more drive checks, which are cards in hand and possible power to your own board, or you can be silly and not attack again.
Can someone please explain this part of the crests skill to me: [CONT]:During your turn, your opponent's units placed by your card's ability this turn, and units dominated by you, lose all of their original [CONT] and [AUTO] abilities, and get [Power]+5000. So if you use Mukuros skill does that mean that opponents Vanguard stays 18k after it attacks your opponents rear guards or the power goes back to 13k since it is not dominated anymore?
Yeah, I think they really had to make Luard a bit weaker than Shiranui because of the infamy. But honestly though pulling off Dragstrider and winning with it seems really satisfying to accomplish.
Shiranui is cracked already out of the deck...imagine when people make some good upgrades. Seriously all people need to put in is a better way to SC and an early game and the deck is golden.
Luard is good, just you need 4 copies of a PR that comes out 1 month after the deck comes out. it's called Serugaon? and if you have more rg than opp, or u played an order this turn, when it boosts it gets 5K power and at the end of the battle retire it, to check top 2 add one to hand, one to bottom of deck. Basically an improved painkiller.
Imagine having to check jp ruling and qna just to make sure thant eng ruling is alinged. This is my life now. Btw this dominate thing is gonna be a nightmare for judges because you have these vanguard zoomers who doesnt even know what dominate is and have to explain how it actually works 90% of the time because the shiranui pilot is an OG nuba main that knows how to play the mind games.
The only good take I’ve seen anyone have. Its crazy how much people underestimate luard’s consistency and kill potential with dragstrider. I tested the decksets pure against my buddy last night and even without all of luards upgrades from outside support I had a fairly good matchup against shiranui, didn’t drop a game.
I feel like Bushiroad was so scared people would be mad if Luard was like V that they nerffed it really hard

@@Rayan01012 you can't swing with your vanguard first, as that is during the battle phase. Mukuro dominates during the main phase.
They were too afraid to make luard broken again and this is the result.
Stonks for shiranui's players
Shiranui deck is completely broken and got everything compared to Luard
im hyped for shiranui defently get that deck when it drops in feb for english side
That point of greedon effect is really interesting
If you rip dragon OT turn 4 with Manguntenbu, you have 2 restanders and 4 soul you can potentially get 10 attacks
I guess shiranui and luard are very strong but we have to see how they will perform in the current format

back to 13k
The Vanguard is no longer Dominated so it loses the 5k power.

Fun fact: shiranui always wins in the anime thats reason why luard always lose
Kazumi always win
Kazuma always surrender
