Revolutionary, out of the box and breathtaking.
This is the pure essence of CHANEL.
Haven't felt this thrill for a Chanel show in some seasons. As usual a category of it's own, this tomboyish look that reminds of Twiggy (ex.) in the 60's but it could be worn in the 90's and so on. It's quite the sight, there couldnt be more feminine clothes and same way more practical, they sure look comfy. The fabrics are dazzling as usual. Wear this and you'll become an elve, a fairy, princess, dryads and all creatures of wonder
The music is the best this is the only peformance Sebastien Tellier ever did for his album Confection... check that out because it is superb
The collection represents whimsy and summer. The light airy clothes especially the closing bridal look all show the overall aesthetic to lend towards a more light hearted attitude. Using Cara to open and close the show was perfect, she is the epitome of whimsey and fun. Letting the models add little jumps, skips and twirls to their walks again only compliments the garments. It's awesome.
I loved everything about this show from beginning to end. Clothes, sneakers, hair, makeup, music and the little boy at the end. It was a great masterpiece of show from the great masterpiece himself! Bravo!

Oh my god. This collection is definitely my favorite this year... The whole thing, the makeup, the hair, the clothes, it's like something out of a fairy tale. The way the models move and the staircase, it's all very dream like and fantastical. Words can't even describe. Breathtaking work Karl.

It reminds me of little kids in the begging with the music, the energy that they walk in, the way they hop down the stairs and their messy hair. Then as the show progresses they seem to grow up slowly.
I really think that's one of the best shows ever!! everything is so ethereal, and gorgeous, and soft, and sooo chanel!!!!

Absolutely amazing. I LOVE those waists/cropped tops and the use of texture. Colors are amazing too! Chanel is the best.
Women walking freely and gracefully, with joyful faces because they're not terrified of being stricken down by ghastly stilettos. Karl is my hero! The collection is beautiful and happy models make it more so. Death to stilettos.

DOUBLE WOW l am always blown away by your designs and fabrics but this is the bomb and it all so soft and feminine (which is absolutely love) and dramatic all at same time and hats off to the makeup artists.

First of all, congratulations, I love the idea the stage to show this season. Looks sporty, elegant, modern & vanguardist. I like the simplicity and empazising in the female figure, crops included in almost every piece and textures. Tres, trés bien!
I’m always struck by the incredible precision and skill of the atelier seamstresses and pattern-makers at Chanel. The iconic jackets are perfectly symmetrical, not a stitch out of place, every seam and every cut is so meticulously done, the garments fit so perfectly to each model. True haute couture can be chosen out of a crowd simply by the way it’s sewn together, the fit and the construction should be noticeably more refined than something of comparable style from off of the rack, and Chanel always manages to do that.
The Chanel Haute Couture shows were probably where the best fitting suits and dresses were. of course, currently with the new creative director this is no longer appreciated, I am not convinced by the silhouettes, finishes, cuts and falls now in the outifts shows
@@jzz6342 Yes, it’s unfortunately not the same without Karl Lagerfeld, the direction of the house seems uncertain and the clothes are absolutely missing the specialness that this collection has.
@@just_cade I only liked one haute couture collection with Virginie Viard (F/W 2020) and I only liked two pret-a-porter collections with her (S/S 2020 and pre-fall 2020).
A lot of her clothes don't look "expensive" to me.
And many of their designs are easily interchangeable between collections. Instead, Karl's collections were more "focused" on a specific "theme" that inspired and conceptualized the entire collection. For example, in this video collection, the themes could be "light" and "lightness",
And express dresses that from a distance seem easy, but when seen up close they are immensely sophisticated and delicate.I also like the dichotomous game of mixing corsets with sneakers. It is a reinterpretation of the very modern Chanel codes. Well, Coco eliminated corsets, at a time when they were the norm. Currently, corsets are a mere "aesthetic accessory", and Karl included them in the making of various dresses, accompanying them with slippers, something that symbolizes the opposite of what a corset could symbolize.
And that leads me to what I interpret conceptually of this collection as "haute couture that pretends to be simple", light and lightness.
I think was a very poetic collection. Is probably one of my favorites.
Loved the outfits with the Big Buttons. Had that Jackie Kennedy swag going on. Once again, he slips in a piece of fashion history which is what I love about him. The young gals wouldn't notice it, but us old gals do. Absolutely beautiful.........

This Haute Couture Show was so classically enhanced and the silhouette was just beautiful with the flat shoes and the comfortable clothes and Karl's God Child was just the best thing ever!
Probably one of the best 2014 fashion show I've seen so far. It was definitely a whimsical futuristic show that is easily going to be memorable. 👏

WOW...stunning in every respect.
I come back to watch this when I want to feel better. There's a slight smile on my face throughout the whole show. Sublime! Notice Anna Wintour and Grace Coddington in front row. I think Catherine Deneuve might be there as well. This show got a lot of attention with the sneakers on the haute couture runway - of course they were covered with lace and sequins etc. And he even managed to elevate the hideous fanny packs! Patricia Wixon modeling!

It's fascinating how the models made their pace on the stairs with their elegant trainers and performed the walk in such a modern but sophisticated fashion. Chanel is a reformation... at least Karl is.
