- I finally opened my first Stephane Humbert Lucas 777 fragrance. This is the full review of Oumma EDP.

INFO ABOUT MY CHANNEL: I discuss designer and niche fragrances. I also talk about my journey to create bespoke, handmade, custom-made clothing. Good review man. I’m sampling it now and really didn’t know what I was smelling. I did pick up on some light florals, but it’s very clean smelling. As for O’Hira, I much prefer Black Gemstone. It smells and performs better.
Thanks I appreciate it! I haven't tried to many of them. I did test mortal skin yesterday and I've tested the fossilized Amber one. I think it's O'Hira.

Do you know if there are reformulation issues? as the original 1st release bottles were gold.... and oud & o hira were clear (I have these) and without stephane humbert lucas wrote on them. Just I've fell into traps before were I've got decants or sample mini's which I like and then buy a full bottle only for it to be different from what I've tested... I'm also wanting black gemstone but that has also changed from black with a chrome cap to chrome with a black cap.... in my experience this usually means there's also been a change with the juice.
I haven't heard anything. I've only seen these newer bottles in person. Have only seen the older ones online. I recently got O'Hira but in the newer bottle.

I have Soliel de Jeddah, Taklamakan, isra & Miraj , and Ô Hira; all are from the Oriental collection Taklamakan is my signature scent now and I wear SdJ as my signature scent in the hot summers here in south Florida. Love Ô Hira as an evening scent. I’ve got a tester of Oumma, not sure that I love it.
Thanks for stopping by. I haven't tried Taklamakan, but I have tried the others you mentioned. The only other one I own is Rose de Petra. I was thinking about getting Khol de Bahrain. O Hira is nice long gone here. Oumma really spoke to me. Definitely not one to buy if you're not in love with it.
@@mrnorthpresents i’m thinking about Khol de Bahrein as well. I’m not a fan of rose fragrances so Oumma is not a love for me. I’m intrigued by Harrods H Mamba, but getting a sample is next to impossible.

What the best performance from house Stephane Humbert Lucas?

Oh no, I have a decant of this and my verdict is: BBQ charcoal or an uncommon variety of wood that's no longer burning, only just smouldering. I can't describe this as 'woody and leathery' only; it goes beyond that and I'm unsure if blaming one of the base notes of cypriol oil would be accurate but it's nothing like your typical oudy-woody-incensey-rubber fragrance. I think it's gross in the same way that Boadicea The Victorious's 'Zayed 2018' is. I had to scrub that one off it was so hideous and unexpected. I'd be curious to see your review of that one-- you might absolutely LOVE it. After all, we all have different body chemistry, emotional associations and different memories to trigger. Cheers for reviewing an obscure fragrance like this one. :)
Yeah that is crazy how we can have polar opposite reactions to fragrances. I like this so much I picked up his old line Kanz SoOud which was the precursor to this lol. I haven't tried anything from the Victorious house but I'd like to get my nose on it. There are some frags people love to death that I hate as well. Appreciate you stopping by!
@@mrnorthpresents I have a terrific word for you to incorporate in your reviews of these sorts of scents and I forgot to leave it in my comment: "phenolic". It was the exact word I was searching for when trying to describe 'Oumma' and it just didn't come to me in time! Ha! :D That smell of bitumen being freshly laid down by road workers, or even tar: that harsh, rubbery 'oil canister' kind of scent. I'll be checking in on your channel again to see what controversial, obscure gem you stumble upon and review with your own flair and critical input. Cheers Mr North Styles! Have a great week. PS= When ordering from Boadicea, definitely include 'Rose Sapphire' if you like the more oud and wood-heavy scents; some of their fragrances smell more like Harrods leather goods section mixed with the scent from down in the fragrance hall. If you want something meatier and more 'middle Eastern' definitely try Zayed 2018 and Rose Sapphire. Bye! :)
