You ladies are special. As a composer, guitar/bassist, and producer and just guitar music/gear lover in general I think this 3 song run shows a lot of what makes you special. While Nicole is playing the opening lead to White Rabbit, Shermy is landing these tasteful vibrato chord stabs beneath her, then takes over the lead while Nicole, Sarah and a solid drummer who's name escapes me lay down a very cool marching line rhythm, puncuated by Nicoles drum beat chord chunks, very cool technique. Then what can you say about Inagadadavida/Sunshine of You Love. Just an intricate intertwining of the guitars and bass. They have made these songs their own and this illustrates their creativity. The way they transition from one song and back is really well done. Now take into account that this is 7 years old, when they were just starting out. They have only gotten better and their originals are really great.
Eventually The Surfrajettes are going to be able to regroup and entertain the public again. I would have thought that their resolve at that point will be very strong so you never know.
Very special. Excellent song selection. I'm 70, so grew up before and after this special music. 'Been playing guitar all these years following instrumental groups. I more than appreciate they've chosen to keep it instrumental. No reason to become just another act. Please keep it pure without lights smoke and other childish stuff. The music and musicianship will stand on it's own and keep you unique. THANKS!
This is a good band, plain and simple. They play together, they play well and the music is well served. I would sit downfront and applaud like a crazy person.
Every time I see and hear this band, I respect what they're doing more and more. I wish more folks would "get it" - but for those of us who do... Much respect!
I don't think that it's the fault of folks that they're not bigger. The music business finds it easier to promote a single artist: Kiwanuka, Sheeran, Madonna, Kylie, Elvis. And MOR styles with dancing. The Surfrajettes have two aces to play though: Firstly their image might persaude some producer to give them a chance on TV and secondly instrumentals have a place in movies as they don't distract from the dialogue. But first we have to beat the virus.
I love listening to the girls they are very talented very beautiful group of girls be blonde playing the guitar is very gorgeous he is absolutely beautiful your music is great I will keep listening to your music I love it you have got a very special talent thank you for your music I love all of it I will always listen to your music may God bless you on your journeys this is Bobby
Shermy, I've got a little surf shack up here in the Santa Cruz Mtns. We could go play in the surf, wine and dine, and come back and play guitar....just sayin' ! Seriously Girls.......Fabulous effort! I discovered you about 6 months ago, and have been looking at, and listening to you since. Seriously Happy to see the montages and singular efforts in your playing. It's great so see a band that doesn't feel the need to 'sing' what's been sung. You're making it happen with your music, ala, Mermen style. You're a tight sounding band in a Surf town, that says something. We all love you here in Santa Cruz, California! Come home ! Play the Boardwalk and the Capitola Art and Wine Festival.......and those glaces' skirts? Damn Girls! Give a boy a chance! ...the Piff in Santa Cruz....
They definitely have the retro look and feel down cold, but it wouldn't mean a thing if they didn't also have the chops to bring it to life. Great job ladies.💖
So refreshing and very very cool, you ladies rock, that perfect 60s surf vibe, with some new instrumentals, the whole look ,would be perfect in a Tarantino movie playing in some retro hip bar, awesomeness can’t stop watching your stuff 🏴🇬🇧👍🏻🤓 hot surfrajetts
Grace Slick's White Rabbit was good with the Great Society but elevated to gold with the bass & guitar of Jack Casady and Jorma Kaukonen. The Surfrajettes were bold for attempting it.
Surf Music has been around since The 60s, Dick Dale's & The Deltones, The Ventures, Just Keeping That Music Alive in the World. Glad U Enjoyed, & Thanks 4 Viewing
Nice- esp use of the separate Fender Reverb units sitting beneath each of the guitar amps! (you can't have too much reverb for surf style!) The tuck-and-roll piggy-back Kustom bass amp is a nice touch, too!
I absolutely love your work but what I would really like to hear from you is your own music! ? If you can't my only hope is you perform your version of " the rise and fall of flingal bunt." By the shadows. Which by your style could be your adopted signature tune as a mark of respect for other guitar players! I love you!
Who are these ladies? Why am I just now discovering them? What a refreshing performance! They are my new favorite! Time to binge watch The Surfajettes!
You can praise them without being rude and disrespectful to others. It's a shame you can't adopt the politeness and manners that existed in the era this music came from. Miming and fake playing has been a staple of tv performances since television was invented. The long running UK show Top of the Pops only occasionally had live performances during their 52 year run. Needless to say there were many males that took part, so targeting "lip syncing bimbos" just highlights Buttman's misogyny.
Barely a day goes by without hearing thier talent.
I am waiting for the Surfajettes explosion. Undiscovered mega-talent. I am telling you.
Over-rated, if they were boys nobody would talk about them. Boots and short dresses, nothing more
@@lordclancharlie1325 Aint that enough ???
Lord Clancharlie
Sadly, I just realized you’re right.
Wow.
They are bringing you instrumentals that are not performed today. They're good enough at what they do.
MOD GIRLS WHO CAN PLAY LIKE THAT? , IM IN !
THEY DONT NEED THE LIMELIGHT TO PROVE THEMSELVES. !
200 KID
These girls are very talented, their music sound is right out of the 60's, and I absolutely love it!
Love the way the two guitarists swap leads....awesomesauce...........the whole group is just superb and very talented ! ! ! !
I came to the comments to say this!
Blonde won the coin toss but deferred.
The best San Francisco sound tribute by a Canadian all female new wave surf band that I've heard
Dan Bernstein LOL. The best exclusive conditional compliment I’ve ever read
Dan Bernstein Have You Heard Of Jimi Hendrix Saying in Third Stone From The Sun “-And You’ll Never Hear Surf 🏄 Music Again “
Aww...you had to go and spoil it all by mentioning they’re Canadian. 😔
Surfer snark attack!
@@totallyfrozen Wait, They're Canadian eehhhhhhh. Ok I will let it slide this time.
I'm obsessed with this video and these girls I can't get Nothing done around the house all I do is watch this video all day lol

And that, kids, is how you Make America Groovy Again! ☮
With Canadians!!
Wow! The intro to White Rabbit actually gave me the chills!
If we only could see this era of music back as mainstream. I could finally rest in peace. Great job girls!!!!!
Eventually The Surfrajettes are going to be able to regroup and entertain the public again. I would have thought that their resolve at that point will be very strong so you never know.
I have never heard of this band before but WOW, I could listen to them all the time, and there real easy to look at to! Love your music girls.

What a great sound - plus the bassist is mad hot!
And it's great to see a bassist using all four strings.

Awesome! A very rare sound. Great adaptations. Would love to hear their version of "Pipeline".
Pipeline is performed in the segue with Paint It Black.

On this addition, putting the Heavy in surf music, outstanding!!
Brilliant! I love this. Very much a throwback to the Hank Marvin and the Shadows and I love it.
I'm absolutely fascinated by this band, can't get enough of them, love those fender tones, very cool. Would love an album.
Check Their other Social Sites. A Store was in the Making. May Be Up N Running

I've got a danelectro bass like that one in the middle.. ,but mine is in bog wall green.
I love it when bands of today play songs that came out before the musicians were born. Reminds me that the music of the 60's and 70's will never die.
Luv these Chikkez ,fell into it ...I Listen to Everyday

Love the Danelectro Bass!!

That bass player scares me. In a really good way...
Awesome mini-set. Brings back a lot of memories from my childhood...
FRIGGIN AWESOME, AY? What if they toured with the Shadowy Men on a Shadowy Planet!??? WOW!!!
The only thing that could make this any Cooler would be for Mr. Spock to suddenly appear and start jamming with his Vulcan Autoguitarp.
or spongebob to play his uke
Love this band.
Digging the gogo boots!!!
Yeah go girls you do it so good.
These girls should open for Chris Isaak.

Welcome. There's about 500 videos.
Bass looks like a Danelectro Longhorn.
It is
I thinks it's a Hondo...has longer horns than a Dnelectro.
These gals are more talented than all the lip syncing bimbos I've seen in the last 35 years that are so called, "stars".
Herb Bluntman what do you consider exceptionally talented here tho?
You can praise them without being rude and disrespectful to others. It's a shame you can't adopt the politeness and manners that existed in the era this music came from.
