In June I wrote a comment saying how everything is moving along at a nice relaxing pace.
Then I blinked in July and August, then whoosh - a pond installation, walkway installations, brick patio installation, and now in September it’s a patio installation. All that does not include all the trees, shrubs, vegetables and flowers you have planted and harvested.
It’s amazing!! You guys are so good to us: thank you for sharing it.
They got so much done in one day! Blessings to those hard working men. This area will be so stunning, not that it isn’t already. 🥰

I used to watch makeup and skin care videos but have always loved plants. Then, about a year ago, I found your channel, and I'm hooked. I absolutely love everything you do, the lifestyle, the way you make your videos, and all you share with us! Thank you so much! I'm in love with the pond. I used to have a pool, and my yard was beautiful, but it reached end of life, and now we are removing the deck, bit by bit. I mostly container garden on my deck, but I did plant some perennials like a Lilac Tree, two peonies, I have a gardenia that needs to go in, and some hostas (mini skirt). I had some hydrangeas already, but you inspire me to want to do more. I'm 64 and have a slight disability with my right knee, so I bought the drill and auger and planted cannas. We are close to the water in Annapolis, Maryland, so I like the tropical plants. Thank you again for all you do!
I love stone of any kind. Stone makes a space so enchanting. You have taught so many of us to think outside the box and dream big. I have SLOWLY transformed a very dull yard into a pollinator haven and created secret pathways to draw the eye in. When I’m in the yard I sometimes say, “What would Laura say to do here:” And on occasion I talk to you as if your watching me. My husband rolls his eyes and laughs.

I watched this video and am amazed at how your garden has evolved but the pond is mind blowing a magical pond has been created out of a flat area that I could not imagine to this The skill of all who had input into it are so skilled we have all learned so much it looks so natural

I appreciate you noticing the Clematis needed to be cut back and then decided to do it then and there. 👍Great example to the rest of us gardeners because we've all been in the same boat. 🥀🥀🥀 We ask ourselves, "Should I do it now or wait because it's NOT on my garden to-do list for the day?" Chances are if we choose to wait, it gets pushed back much farther than we originally intended.

Question : what type of the Arbors , trees of winter interest for Narrow Lots in zone 5 ab. High ph soil . Full Sun to partial shade ?

That new stone is perfect!!! This area has come on so quickly. Seems like yesterday that it was still the old lawned area with the boxwoods in the middle. Such an amazing difference.
Ohhh! Those stones are gorgeous! I'm really excited to see those pathways go in! Random thought when you mentioned that you don't consider yourself a rose expert: what about bringing in a rose expert to talk through your new rose garden? It would be so informative to hear you talking about roses with someone from David Austin or similar.

I just want to say that I have a proud berry coral berry and I cut mine back this spring to 12in because I remembered Laura saying this. THEN in a gardening group everyone was saying no only take 1/3 so I was panicking. Right now, this is LOADED with pink berries! Thank you, Laura!

As I was watching the guys working on the stone path, I noticed their shadows move as the sun rose higher into the sky. A sundial! Wouldn't the kids love a sundial somewhere in the garden? 🌄🌎🌅

I really like the proud berry coral berry! That's going to be beautiful! The spirea was a perfect touch of color in that area. The walkway is already looking wonderful. Now let's talk about that Aaron! He is just fabulous at thinking ahead about all of the infrastructure, he does great videos and etc. Everybody needs a Aaron!!!😂

So fun to see this flagstone area coming along. I love how you have areas in your garden that are more formal like the Hartley area, some more cottage like the chicken coop and now the pond which is more rustic/mountain vib. It shows that we can mix styles and enjoy it all! Thanks for taking us on this amazing journey. We just had some trees taken down which opens up a new sunny area to landscape and plant up this next year. You have given me so many ideas and I am excited to work on this new space in the garden!

I think I have one of those little rugosa roses that was a volunteer in my yard, actually growing very close to a railroad tie wall. I cut it back and moved it in June and it lost all its leaves, I thought it was a casualty. To my utter surprise, I went out there just yesterday and it's got leaves again and it's full of blooms! It's only about 18 inches tall, but looks fantastic, brand new!

You went from not liking berms and boulders or any artificial topography to having quite a bit of it. It is so well done, nothing looks fake or out of place. You guys have utilized enough of it that it doesn't just look like a couple of plopped dirt piles, which is always my fear. It looks natural and lived in and there is just so much interest. I love it!!! I also love that Aaron's mind goes to utilities when there is earth being moved. 🎉⚡💧
