Don’t use easy sand 5 to tape. It won’t stick to the tape.
Hot mud hack for you
Add Elmer's white glue. Makes the hot mud much creamier more like ap mud. And you can paper tape with it.

There was zero mud behind the tape. That is the cause. The entire seam would of cracked out if it was due to the house settling.

Easy sand means… less glue, meaning not good for taping. Need the yellow bag. My guy
wrong, hot muds have a hardening compound that supplies better adhesion and setting

No hot mud on paper tape. Dont do that!
Hot mud don't have adhesive for holding the tape and swells when drying better off using ap or red dot
