You see the little radiator tank behind the radiator? I wonder how hot those engines get?
factory motors get extremely hot, especially with the way those riders ride them. my 150 was factory built by JGR and it needs extended radiators, oil cooler, coolant catch, all kinds of heat reflection tape/wrap. it's nuts.

it's a catch can from the overflow so the coolant doesn't spit out on the ground
It's the oil cooler. Important, if you ride with high compression piston and racing petrol(100+ octane).

You can own that bike for less than 6 figures because you can buy all the parts separate A fully upgraded bike will set you back maybe 5 figures 12k to fully upgrade to that level with parts then again race teams have 2 bikes anyway so the cost is probably added on another bike

considering a stock 450 is neighboring around 10 more than that the answer is no. factory motors vary power wise mainly because of rider preference, different guys like different powerbands. the more power a bike makes the harder it is to hang on to and the more fatiguing it is to ride. even back in the McGrath days the factories could build engines that were too much, I remember his mechanic saying specifically they can make more power than what he was currently running, but it was hard to keep it from lifting the front wheel or spinning. the package he chose to run could b ridden much harder and to its full ability. this was in 2000 when he was still winning just before Carmichael took over
You can have a high HP motor and also have good power delivery... your logic means that for a smoother bike you need a less HP motor which just isn't true.

I've always really liked the pc bikes but..I really don't like their look past couple years...go back to either black back end or white..and the fox gear just isn't doing it..maybe it's the bright yellows it's just too circus looking.
