I have traveled the world to many third world places and lived with locals and I can tell you they feel like us Americans ignore their suffering and for the most part we do but maybe a few of us could rap back to MC Abdul and let him know we are really listening, feeling it because we heard him from the other side of earth and now we will rap in support of the cause to stop all children from being effected by war. I felt a reality than not even the most horrific videos of child casualties really made me feel as much as this kid spitting bars from his life. I have never found music this important and it would not matter from what war zone. The kid was right about his mic being an escape but I believe it is the mic that the leaders use to beg for the powerful pen ergo this kids mic is far greater than the pen and sword. I cant wait to hear this kid rise to the top of US charts because really great empathy and compassion could rise from the reality of such art and the feelings his melodies aid us in feeling his sorrow.
