14:16 "Is it supposed to do that?" Yes! Same reason skyscrapers sway in the wind: if it didn't have some give, it would just split and shatter. Imagine trying to bend a rubber tube compared to a glass tube - the rubber tube would easily bend, then bounce back, while the glass tube would take a little more force, but then suddenly explode.

Human instinct tells you to be afraid of unstable ground, even when grounds are manufactured to be completely safe while still bending the way they do, so it’s always interesting trying to fight that fear even if you know that logically, it should be safe.

I've used a motorized wheelchair for my whole life, and the one I had as a kid would sometimes start driving forwards by itself. The lemon eyeball is a souvenir from a Meow Wolf (artist’s collective) installation in Las Vegas called Omega Mart. It’s an art exhibit mimicking a “strange” grocery store with purchasable products, which leads into a highly detailed and lore-filled representation of a desert town that has been transformed by mysterious paranormal happenings. It’s very Welcome To Night Vale/X Files if you like that kind of thing.

I have experienced one "creepy" thing that I still to this day have no explanation for. It was Midsummer's Eve here in Finland, which meant that the sun didn't really set at all during the night, at its darkest it was twilight. My husband (then boyfriend) and I were walking through a kids' playground. When we approached the swing set, we noticed that the swings were swinging a bit without a reason. It was a completely wind-free night and not a single soul around. When we walked closer, the swings started picking up speed. I was fascinated and wanted to investigate further, but my husband got the mega creeps from it and wanted to get away. I pulled up my phone and captured some video footage of it, before walking away with him. When I got home, that exact video file was missing from my phone. I know I captured it, because I watched the clip back just after exiting the park, and I didn't accidentally delete it or anything. All the pictures before and after this video clip were there, but not the swing set video clip I *KNEW* I recorded. I have no explanation for what happened to this day.

Yeah, while not scary or terrifying in the traditional sense, fuck a bunch of sand dunes. We vacationed in Michigan a few years ago and went up a hill about half that height and it was miserable and exhausting thanks to the sand. There is this impossibly large and steep sand dune at Dillons Beach CA. My friends family has an annual camping trip there and I got to go one year. It’s a rite of passage to scale the giant sand dune every time they go and the older folks time the climbers. I don’t think it’s as high as the Sleeping Bear sand dune, but it’s high as heck and steep as hell. Near vertical climb and it’s all sand. Took me 2 hours to climb up and I was in peak physical condition due to all the sports I played and actively ran and worked out. I misjudged how difficult it would be because I’m from the mountains and love to hike… but man, sand is a whole different ball game. 😅

2:52 I have construction background so i can explain the ”doors opening on their own“ phenomena, wich makes it not scary for me.
Houses settle after a time, especially door frames since they are made from wood most of the time. That can shift frames by a few cm wich is enough for doors to not properly close or open on their own. They can also open due to pressure differences in rooms (yes even if latched) if the door is not aligned correctly. Wood can also contract or expand due to temperatures, wich can lead to it making cracking/creaking noises especially at night due to temperature dropping.
In Germany we still have a lot of really old buildings so i‘v had all of these happen a lot personally. Its more annoying than spooky

It's so chill and you often add a very fun visual or bit of knowledge to whatever you're reacting to while being funny and clever, offering high quality commentary that adds something interesting. You seem so friendly and your videos are really inviting, it's always lovely to watch. Thanks for making these, I will continue to support each of your videos with enthusiasm!

Dude JUST TONIGHT I was just living my life and was turning off the lights downstairs when I noticed my tv was on. The screen was black, which is completely abnormal, as it usually has some sort of display with either the Home Screen or a slideshow of pretty pictures. Why was it just a black screen? And why was it turned on? We may never know. Was definitely weird and a bit unnerving tbh.

Regarding the toddler on yt shorts one- I work in retail and often end up at the register, and just a couple months ago there was a woman with her literal infant (not sure about age tbh, not really talking yet but probably about to crawl??) I was ringing up. Whatever video she had on her phone was innocent enough, like asmr, but her baby literally starting wailing any time she took it away for more than a second. I didn’t say anything but that interaction had genuinely terrified me ever since

The next morning I woke up and the book was gone. I found it in the living room, and the bookmark was at the beginning of the chapter I read.
I thought I must have dreamed that I read it. But I remembered every word of the chapter.

The reason people are crawling up that dune is cos it's a sand dune, have you ever tried to walk up a loose dirt or sand pile? you can't get a solid footing on top of the sheer angle, your best chance of walking up that is leaning into the dune and using your hands to support otherwise you are sliding backwards or toppling cos your leg was shifted out from under you

We use our guest bedroom as storage because like… we never have anyone over anyway, and there were some keyboards in there from my dad’s old desk. And they had been stacked in there for almost a year. But when I was walking by the other day, I heard a weird crash and when I opened the door, they were like, a couple feet from where they were. I was like “Why? Why of all times did this have to happen now?” 💀

The light turning off in the bathroom happened to me a few times but the reason was that there was a lot of steam buildup after a hot shower and the breaker somehow detects the moisture and shuts off the power in the breaker for the bathroom lights and outlets for safety measures as moisture and electricity don’t work well together. Maybe that’s why yours was also shutting off? Other than that loved the video and love the content bro❤👍

Just looked it up and yes, those balconies are specifically built to be able to flex, otherwise the weight and force of a large crowd dancing on them would just internalize the stress and transfer it to other parts of the structure, slowly degrading it. By allowing it to flex, the strain is localized within the balcony itself which is constructed to suffer minimal damage from the flexing.

The lemon looks like a prop from the Meow Wolf Omega Mart installation in Vegas. I don't know if they sell these as souvenirs or anything. If the airbnb is near Las Vegas, I'd venture a guess that lots of people rent it and go to that location. It could've been left by a previous tenant, or left out by the host to get folks hyped for their trip.

I've only had one instance of something turning on that was kind of crazy but... I also have cats so I could rationalize it on them... but one night I woke up and noticed a light that was on. I thought at first someone broke into the house (that wouldn't make sense if you're trying to be sneaky... unless you thought nobody was home) I ran all over the house checking each room. I also made sure the doors were still locked and... I think they were, but it's been long enough for me to question it. My wife and I concluded that our cats probably thought it was something like a fly on the wall and tried to pounce on it... they have never done this before or since, so its always one of those... what could it have been? Ghost did cross my mind because why not, but also some crazy electrical fluke. We had 3 way light switches too so.. who knows.
