Quick question though, and correct me if I'm wrong, but when contouring your cheekbones, aren't you not supposed to go that low with the darker shade? Or does that only apply to non-cream products/methods?

I found myself wondering why i'm watching a guy doing a make up tutorial. But right now I can really say that YOU have the best make up tutorial. It look so natural I wouldn't even think u have a makeup on.
I've just fallen down the rabbit hole of watching your old videos and found myself watching some from 2009! It really confirmed to me that people shouldn't worry obsessively about getting older, you look so much better now than in those videos, more confident too which makes an amazing difference. When I was in my early 20's I spent hours gawping in the mirror worrying about how my makeup looked and applying more, consequently I looked a bugger! I'm 52 now, wear about a tenth of the amount I wear and am so much happier for it! Youth is wasted on the young! 😂😂 Most of my knowledge now is from you Wayne, thank you. It has been a joy to watch your evolvement through your channel. You look great on this video, Love, Luck and Happiness always xxx

ive been doing the "badddie" look for a few weeks and my face is officially wrecked :( i have a ton of acne from the foundation and im just so upset i dont know what to do

I said last night I would try this. And today OMGGGGGG WAYNE you are so talented!! You changed my entire foundation routine and life within 15 hours lol. So last year I paid for Live Glam tutorials that are big on IG now. WHAT A COMPLETE WASTE OF $100.. $20/per month to learn highlighting & contouring (the ig way basically)....A year and massive waste of time & product later, I find this God sent tutorial..I was so scared to try the highlight and contouring first from previous artist on IG basically condemning that technique. I just took photos of my look and I saw not one blemish which normally I find myself smoothing out with Facetune! Just last week I was complaining about how much my face felt heavy and dirty and now my skin feels so light again all thanks to you!! I thought it was my foundation since I don't use the most expensive makeup. I knew I should have not been so snobby as if I learned everything there is to know from TH-cam. You have completely humbled me as an artist, NEVER LEAVE US!! Sending tons of LOVE from Ohio.

I went to the store and seen a bb for 4 bucks. I started messing with it...I just started laughing...like 4 bucks for this?? Then it uses more product as well? Ehhh I’ll pass...I did get sponges to wash off the product and keep my face clean though. I just don’t think I’ll even use a bb if I buy it...more is less. If I buy it I’ll use more of my make up...I’ll go without it. I also like brushes better...it’s ways around a bb...

your tutorials are the best, honestly. i love how you encourage everyone to work with what they have, instead of trying to fit into some mold given us by society. i have a really round face and i remember a few years back when i was trying to find contouring tips and came across one of your videos. everyone else i had watched seemed to focus on how to contour and highlight your face so that it would look as "oval" as possible, but you were so nice and just showed how to take the most out of whatever face shape you happen to have. :-) it really helped the younger me who was really self-conscious about not having something everyone claimed to be "the most beautiful". even now, years later, if i ever need tips or tutorials on something makeup related i always check your channel first in case you've made a video about it. so thank you!

I believe this is the most beautiful highlight and contour video out there. You not only look beautiful but the colors you used are perfect. You look perfected but also like you have no makeup on. That is a testament to your genius.
As always great technique Wayne. Well done. My only problem with this make up is that in reality it can be very aging. Its great for a photoshoot or perhaps going out at night at a dimly lit place. But it robs the skin of any luminosity and instantly adds 10 years to a person. Of course you can add highlighters to mimic the glow but my keen eye usually notices that the rest of the unhighlighted face tends to look matte and lackluster . Please don't perceive this as negative criticism on your artistry which I always admire. However I have long experience in fashion and to an extent beauty too and I always prefer seeing women less flawless and younger looking, than airbrushed and significantly older. Just my humble opinion

I have to admit I came across your videos quite by accident, but I also have to admit that I am SO glad that I did.
You are absolutely AMAZING! I am a 58 year old woman, who once loved wearing make-up. I was never a heavy user of make-up but over the last 10 years or so the make-up ritual not only became a chore and regardless of what make-up I used it never looked natural or right for that matter.
I was fortunate that I never had blemished skin but over the last few years my skin has become dry and flaky and very noticeable with make-up on.
I can't begin to tell you how grateful I am for your videos. I tried out some of your tips and WOW!

I was thrilled to see this in the video! I have several beauty marks, the remnants of freckles, and a mole next to my mouth.
Also, with maturing skin, there are both redness and dry areas to compensate for. I don’t go to extremes to hide my “flaws” I try to blend them into a semi-uniform canvas (ie...no cake face,) but if my freckles show through or a bit of the redness from my cheeks peek through, I don’t over apply foundation, concealer, and powder to hide it. Usually I just enhance it with a light blush. Embrace your differences! Not everyone looks better “plastic-like” all the time! Still, I am a fan of doing what makes you feel the best about yourself and however you use makeup to make yourself more beautiful and comfortable in your skin, go for it!

Love this! This is very informative for keeping the face looking natural, but yet bringing out (and/or sculpting) facial features. The skin still looks natural and flawless, but not drawn or chiseled on.

Wayne can you do a video on skin? , like acne and acne scarring how to heal it and hide it please. Especially the scarring it would be nice to know how to fade the scars and not look like a crackhead thanks to acne I've had since grade 4 im now almost 25 and still struggling. I've tried every product in existence every routine idk what to do. I can't afford a dermatologist unfortunately.

Greywind920...I'm hearing you! I'm 62 and have, and still fighting acne. I apologize for that bad news. :( I've seen a couple of dermatologists and had some dermabrasion treatments as well as given pamphlets and samples on what to use and not use. Nothing has helped. All I can tell you is, study what are harmful ingredients that you should avoid. Like fragrance and dyes. Don't scrub your face. Gently use a washcloth to get the makeup off. Find a good moisturizer. My face has improved, mostly because I've studied, studied and studied acne and any and all products related to acne. As you can tell by my age, I've been going to school for a very long time! Ha! Find Dr. Dray on YT. She's amazing! I took notes of one of her in-store detective shows. I went to a Dollar Tree store and Dr. Dray didn't lie! She's super funny and very knowledgeable about so many things. Look her up, and best of luck to you!

I've never seen a skin makeup tutorial that I felt I could relate to. I don't use foundation and always found that the contouring looks stiff/fake. I prefer a natural looking face over a makeup face. This one however does look natural and really is flawless. So thank you!
It makes me want to give contouring another try, although I would prefer to use powder instead of foundation if that's possible? Foundation is just not my thing :)
