Thank you for this video. I am a cancer survivor and underwent PT. I owe my current health status to my PT. It pushed me towards a major career change. I am now working on going into PT to specifically work with oncology patients. I flip flop back and forth between PTA or DPT due to having young children and large amounts or preexisting student debt. Is there certifications for oncology for PTAs? Are there schools that specialize in oncology rehab or do you have to do a residency?
Wow thank you for sharing that. It warms my heart to know how much PT has impacted you. To my knowledge, there are no schools that specialize in oncology, but there are several residencies. There might be some courses you would be able to take as a PT/PTA but I am not too knowledge in that area. Sorry Alyssa!
