@Angela Joy Bernardino It’s all over twitter but based on her entertainment’s statement. They did some tracing and apparently chungha had rehab for her shoulder injury and unfortunately there was a covid patient in the same sports center. She was only informed about the patient after 2 days and insisted to immediately take preventive measure by taking a test and isolated herself aftewards despite not receiving any protocols from the gov. As well as having the people she made contact with in betwen those days which she wasn’t informed yet to take a test.

1) This song is fucking amazing. My favorite disco-pop tracks of the year are Dream of You, MAGO, Blue Hour, and Telepathy.
2) Chungha sounds fucking amazing singing it. Which, I hope every person who knocked her for her vocals when she debuted with Why Don't You Know has acknowledged her grown as a vocalist. She's improved leaps and bounds, and I was already a #VocalistChunghaSupremacist.
3) This video... It's so simple, but it rly just shows off Chungha's raw charisma. You can teach someone how to sing/dance/rap, you can teach someone stage/camera presence, you can go the whole nine yards, but Chungha has that It^TM factor that you're either born with or you're not. I see people, all the time, moaning and groaning about how their fave hasn't gotten a solo or a spotlight despite being a technically good vocalist/dancer/rapper, and 9/10 it's because they give you nothing. Yeah, they're good at what they do, but they don't make you want to pay attention. Chungha could've done this video with the most basic routine, and she'd STILL have us all baldt and crying.
I have been fiending for this album all damn year, because I know Chungha is going to deliver. I feel the same confidence with her that I felt with Kai (and I was right 😏😏😏). I waited this long, I can wait another month (girl, I can wait another six months; that's how confidence I am in this album), so we're putting all our energy into good vibes to Miss Chungha to kick Shawty Ro's ass to the curb. Always look forward to your reactions PD. I was literally thinking "PD is going to freak!" when I first watched this performance video the other day. I couldn't stop smiling the whole time watching your reaction. Chungha is a next level artist. I usually don't have much faith in the success of kpop artists on American radio (the anti-Asian bias is still so prevalent on the charts) but I think if she tried for the US market she'd be successful; her concept and music crosses over so easily while still sounding uniquely "Chungha". She's amazing.

The striped suit and posey dance choreo in the pre-chours SCREAMS Janet Jackson (there's a specific Janet video that clearly was an inspiration where Janet and the dancers are in suits and the video goes black and white), and Chung Ha NAILS IT. Chung Ha was just recently signed to 88Rising (the label that has Rich Brian, Joji, and others). They will be representing and promoting her internationally (her current label will still handle her in South Korea). But it's the reason her album was pushed back so 88Rising could prepare for global promotion. I think after her album drops in January, 2021 will be her year. Chung Ha is going to blow up in 2021.

so excited to see chungha sign with 88rising. a lot of people were afraid that 88 would change her sound but 88 has worked with artists of all musical styles. 88 will provide the global strategy for chungha that will be better than many of these larger US labels who are pretty hands off in “promoting” their kpop groups (ehem... twice and republic records). i think chungha is someone in kpop with the potential to go global. unlike a lot of kpop acts, her overall image, sound, and presence doesn’t need much explaining to someone who knows nothing about kpop. tie in that with her incredible performances and i can see a lot of non kpop fans getting into her music.

His expression slowly going from o to O at 5:23 -5:40 is very on point. Also, this is the first reaction video where I feel like he gets it. Chung Ha is GOOD and no Kpop artist is really pushing it to the next level like this. In terms of her dancing I haven't seen a group or artist as of lately whose moves are so tight and precise as hers. Even the best groups have loose moves here and there but she just doesn't and that's not exaggerating. If she doesn't blow up big time it would be a travesty and I sincerely hope that having R3HAB on this track makes this song blow up on US radio or at least on the club circuit.

That's what I'm saying!!! Janet never gets the respect she's due mostly because of the Super Bowl fiasco and the subsequent blacklisting. But Chungha has a lot of similarities to Janet especially in the way they reinvent themselves with each release, their dance versatility and work ethic, and the way they treat and highlight their dancers. Everyone knew Janet's dancers by name and they got featured on her tour merchandise and individual spotlight in performances. They're also both very humble for how much immense talent they have.
Chungha reminds me very much of the same trajectory that BoA was on in her early days. She pulls from the same inspirations and repackaged it all under her own belt in a sea full of idol groups.

Girls on top = dream of you, the peak of there sound that they have both found. With minor hitss in-between all these releases that are just as solid as the main title tracks off everything. All Chungha needs to do is be marketed towards the Japanese market and I'm sure she would kill it just as much as BoA did they can both do it all with out a lash or eyeliner out of place. I see Chungha out lasting and out performing alot of her peers in the kpop industry and hope she keeps setting a new standard for females in the kpop industry.
I actually don't think this song is related to her upcoming comeback. I believe this was an standalone english release that came with the news that she has signed with 88rising
This song is part of her upcoming album but she said that it was a special release, also that she wanted to make her 1st full album like a mix of languages. :)
