Was thinking he might not want to be disturbed when out shopping etc, and was unsure how he’d react. He couldn’t have been any nicer. Really humble, and didn’t mind being disturbed at all. Gave us a load of his time; chatting about growing up in East London (I’m not far off his age, and grew up in Canning Town), and U.K. hip hop and garage / grime. Always been a big fan of his music, but even more impressed by his acting in Top Boy. Got an abundance of talent Kano, and just seems humble and down to earth all round

The American concept of the black hood bears no relation in London because these areas were hoods before black people ever turned up . Glasgow a city with no significant black population has one of the highest murder rates in Europe much of which is gang affiliated. The UK has long tradition of gang violence, hell we invented football hooligans in the UK it’s a local tradition as British as fish n chips
