It does what it’s advertised to do… if you can’t read I’m sure there’s a place you can still learn.
@PocketCoke my point still stands. If you cannot grasp the infantile concept of getting the most of something (in this case protection) for your money, then that's on you. 😉
@@francism9782 then buy a plate rated for m855 if that’s what you want… it’s designed to be extremely light, not to stop m855… stop being illiterate and read the product descriptions.
@@JenkemWizardlol...the operative word in SRT is the "R" as in "rifle". If you're looking for "rifle" protection, then buying a plate that fails at stopping common rounds like m855 is a waste of money. You know what a "rifle" is, right? Kinda important for this conversation. 😂
@@francism9782 I know how to read which apparently you don’t. You really keep avoiding the fact that the manufacturer explicitly states it won’t stop m855. Almost as if you’re too ignorant to understand.
Is this level 3 + ?
This is technically. It’s like a light weight lvl3+ but m855 passes through it.
Would it have stopped m855 on a less damaged plate? Imo for SHTF you need to be able to stop m193, m855, and 9mm as the most common American rounds.
Most likely not
that shot with the m855 wasn't fare you should have shot it in the corner.
Should have shot the M855 at a different spot on the plate.
Wouldnt matter, Polyethylene doesnt stop it
Tacti-CON
Name says it all. Emphasis on “CON”.
My boss had many problems with them. Highly suggest staying away. No ill feelings to Mike here, mad love for mrgunsngear!
Tacti-CON paid him for a review and press release. Can’t fault Mike for this California CON company being total trash.
Also their company isn’t “tactiCON armament” it’s concealed carrier llc
Weird, right? Almost like the 59 names for the same Turkish shotgun so once you know one’s trash, they go to the other name.
Speculation? No, facts.
@@peterreily1490 I think tacticon is concealed carrier’s sister company. I heard that in one of their holster videos. Tacticon is supposed to be their more duty/tactical stuff. With that being said, it’s odd how they argued with me about steel armor being junk, and of course they sell steel armor.
I just want a plate that will stop 193 and 855, while still being considered "lightweight." Unfortunately, it looks like we'll still need to wait!
420$??? Per plate??? Made in America. I get it. Super light. I get it. But it’s not level 4. Nor certified. They’re gonna fail in the market on this one. Jmo.
That's actually not too thick for uhdpe, I wonder how it would work in front of or behind steel.
Sorry, but if I am putting close to 1k in plates, I would want it to stop green tip . That round is cheap and plentiful.
To my knowledge this company is known for selling fake/low quality plates. I’ve never used or purchase from tac but that’s the way they supposedly got their foot into the door by selling marked up Chinese mass produce plates. Hearing this from multiple guys makes me very hesitant to buy their product. RMA sales a similar cheaper product
that’s actually a little lighter minus the multi curve. RMA haves a great reputation so if you have a lower budget they might be the better choice. I’d stay away from their products unless buffman tested it
Yeah don't believe your own eyes, go ahead and comment that on a video that proves your wrong.
Reading is fundamental.
@@stephenedwards5063 using you eyeballs is fundamental too
So this is a garbage plate. Got it
How tf is it garbage. Did exactly as advertised. You daft bruh?
🇺🇲🦅🇺🇲
Pretty sure Tacticon doesn't offer anything American made. They're a shady shady very crooked company to start with, so I wouldn't put it past them to lie about it. And that M193 probably would have turned your insides into pudding. You can get far better armor that's only 1/2lb heavier from a better company for less.
Wait a min… these plates cost $400 each??? I’m super uninterested, a hard plate should stop 855 imo as well
$400 a plate YEESH
They discount.

IF Mr Gunsngear TRULY believed in this product, he would wear it and have a friend shoot 10 rds of 556 at him, 10rds of 308 and 10 rds of 50 cal at a range of 10yds.
We can all see that he just "kinda' believes that this stuff might work. Mr GreenGun did not fully test this product therefore this video is completely invalid
LOL. Let the hate begin
$400 and fails....nogo
Im not a fan of the results. To much deformation.
Check out the site. Specifically the weapon lights.
@@ImmaSaveUFromMe lmao, bunch of Chinesium shit…
Get a job 😅
I think 855 penetrated because he shot it literally right into the previous 5.56 hole
Most UHMWPE armor will not stop m855, this is no different. If it was able to stop it, their website would list it as a defeated threat.
Wow so its equivalent to 30 year old crusty gooey italian uhmpe stored in a 150 degree shipping container for 10 years. Yaawn
Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene. UHMWPE. For those who were curious.
He said exactly those words in the beginning…
@@BryceKimball7.3 I musta missed it while I was typing 🤣
Could it stop 338 magnum, 416 Barrett, 500 nitro
PAUL..that made me chuckle. I’m a ballistics nerd🤓. I couldn’t find the M.E. on the 416 Barrett, but I found the bullet weight of 452 gr and velocity of 3,005…so that worked out to a mere 9,065 Ft. Lbs. ME 🙄😂. I’d love to see if steel plates could move an entire body backwards Hollywood style. Ouch, that’s a lot of energy!
For wannabe nerds, to figure out the Muzzle Energy in Foot Pounds, use:
(velocity x velocity) x bullet weight in grains / by the constant 450,240 = Ft. Lbs. ME…so
(3,005 x 3,005) x 452 / 450,240 = 9,065
Easy peazy
For comparison, standard Speer 9mm Gold Dot ranges from 317-374 Ft Lbs ME (their +P is 410).
