Great review. I have bought the Tissot PRX Powermatic with a blue dial recently, and I love it. It's comfortable to wear, and the dial is very nice. Good value for money.
Been watching reviews of this watch around youtube when i found your video. Your calm composure really helps and its so nice to see you still appreciate smth from this price point considering your other collections. Decided to pull the trigger on this as my first mechanical watch to celebrate 3rd year working overseas. Greetings from Japan
Lovely review of both watches. I found it difficult to decide which one to purchase so I went ahead and bought both in the exact same colors as you. The Prx wears a bit slimmer on the wrist due to its lug to lug measurement. I really do enjoy the green dial of the gentleman, but I tend to save it for more formal work days. The PRX is more of an everyday watch for me. I also picked up a Mido Multifort 38mm Gent with a gray dial. It has the same 80 hour power reserve as the Tissot's. All 3 added to my collection in a robust manner.
I fitted the 35 and it was just too small for my liking and I was disappointed bec i thought it would be perfect for my small wrist. I was disappointed to the point that I bought the regular size in a mechanical even if i had no plans of buying it at that time 😅
Great review! I actually just bought this watch a couple of weeks ago. I passed on the quarts for the PRX. I like the patterned dial quite a bit more than the quarts dial. Thanks for the review.
Same here the waffled watch face did me in! The watch attendant preferred the quartz for himself even if he had the money but that waffled dial really made me go for the mechanical. It is you who is going to be looking at the watch most of the time so might as well.
I didn’t take much notice of the PRX and didn’t even realise you’d got one. I noticed one when looking in a jewellers today and was surprised how nice it looked in the flesh. Trying one on it was even better so ended up getting a blue faced one also. Haven’t bought a watch at this value price point for some time but am very impressed. Makes you wonder why you pay all the extra for premium brands!
I’ve only discovered your channel recently, as I was looking at a JLC master control calendar, as a possible 50th birthday present to myself! Well here we are several months down the line, and I’ve discovered this excellent review on the Tissot PRX . I don’t think you can go wrong for the money, and I’ve just pulled the trigger on the PRX powermatic 80 in green, as I don’t have any green dial watches. I’m so looking forward to this purchase, and can’t wait to get it sized for the weekend. Really love your channel, and passion for watches. P.S , I hope you manage to get your hands on the Rolex milgauss z-blue. It’s a stunner, and I really enjoy mine.
I bought the Quartz model and enjoyed it. I feel it is a bit large for me and would have preferred the smaller model that came out in green. Still, with those gripes this is a nice watch for the price.
Quite like the look of the green PRX… Whilst both are 40mm, I found the Gentleman wears much larger than the PRX. Enjoyed the vid. Bet you are glad you finally finished it! :-) Good evening.
Interesting review - thank you! From watching the video it seems to me that the dark blue dial is a bit too understated for me - but the white Panda Chronometer looks really promising. Cheers!

I saw your video on discounts on new watches and was wondering what you managed to get or think you can get on a PRX as I am thinking of pulling the trigger. Hi Lewis. Sadly I sold it to fund more pieces. I have been turning over the cheaper ones a bit. I saved £100 on mine when bought at Goldsmiths on a deal. I have a link to the Watch Hut in the description that may have a deal on. If not, stroll into your nearest Fraser Hart or Beeverbrooks and ask for money off. Goldsmiths are a little stingy at the moment. Lovely watch though. May buy again.

Don't you think you should of waiting a week or two to try the chrono on? Beautiful watch never the less. I very nearly bought the gentleman in blue today but got side tracked with the new tudor rootbeer 🤩🤩
I purchased the PRX automatic on the leather strap and have to say it’s a stunning watch for the money. If Tissot could introduce a AP style bezel to this watch then it would take it to another level.

I have an Omega Cosmic 2000 from 1972. Underrated and under appreciated watch imo

Very comprehensive review thanks. Nice to see the design cues from higher end pieces referenced. Certainly a historic brand and great value.

Thank you. I guess it depends is the the answer. Of the 2 I prefer the PRX, mainly as jazzy evening wear. The bracelet is super comfortable as well.
