    I'd like to see what supports the weight of the RTT inside your truck shell.

    Great video Ty. I just ordered an Alpha RTT. Can’t wait.
    Just a little off topic. Is the step on the tailgate a standard thing or can you buy these separately.
    Cheersmate.

    • @TyFenwick
      @TyFenwick  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That’s a standard thing on these trucks 😎👍🏼

    Hey mate loved the vid. How did you find the mattress. Did it need more padding or good to sleep on as is? Im thinking of purchasing the ax27

    How is it driving a superduty in Australia? Everyone in Texas drives a lifted full size truck so it's not that special here.

    • @TyFenwick
      @TyFenwick  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I bought it for its pay load, not very popular here in Australia and there expensive so that puts most people off buying them. My situation I needed big pay load to build the truck up how I wanted and Australian utes just don’t offer the capacity like the super duty does .

    How has the RTT done with being installed on your truck cap? Mine is fiberglass and I was told it couldn't take the weight of a RTT, is yours also fiberglass? and if so, how has the weight of your rack+RTT+you been effecting your cap?

    Love your work bro, you must have abit of coin with the toys you got, what's the roof load capacity on that truck of yours?

    • @TyFenwick
      @TyFenwick  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Cheers mate, work my arse off to afford toys I have. The roof load on that snug top was 180kg, however I put alloy supports inside taking it up to around 300kg

    Do you have a link to the Zed Track you used to mount the tent direct without load bars? That is exactly what I need for my RSI Evo cap!

    • @TyFenwick
      @TyFenwick  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jump over to the bush company website dean sells the track there. Cheers

    Quick question regarding the original rails fitted to your Snugtop XtraVision. Did you reinforce their mounting hardware or did you mount the Zed Rails straight to them ‘as is’ ? Thx m8

    Great video man! We spoke a few weeks ago when asked about your thoughts on either a soft or hard tent and got around to watching the video! Is the the Alpha bush version? I seen they make 2 that was all. I am aiming more towards this brand of tent so thank you...... also is been 8 months since this video, what’s your thoughts on it so far? Like air ventilation, water resistance, quality so far?

    • @TyFenwick
      @TyFenwick  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey ash !
      100% hard shell mate. So this tent is the black series tent, there new tent the alpha has just come out it opens bigger and has bigger rain fly along with double canvas etc. Dean has a video on his channel the Bush Company alpha tent shows you all the features of the new tent. I’m doing a review on my tent this weekend 👍🏼

    Any reason you chose the Bush Company over an Alu-Cab or QuickPitch?

    • @TyFenwick
      @TyFenwick  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Mate honestly I like the Bush Company rail fly, so during wet weather you can still have the sides down to allow cross ventilation in the tent. The others you cant do that rain will come in. I’m doing a long term review in couple of weekend on the tent ⛺️

    • @miggity_mac
      @miggity_mac 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ty Fenwick I like that feature too but the canvas felt so over engineered and very heavy for Aussie climates.
      I saw the Quick Pitch RTT has the same rain fly but there are no display models over in the east coast of Australia as they’re based in WA. Shame though coz I really like their Awning, much bigger/ heavy duty than the AluCab

    What length bed/tub is that? Thanks!

    • @TyFenwick

      6ft mate

      @@TyFenwick the overhang doesn't look bad at all. I've looked at the dimensions of that tent before and thought that it would be way too long for a 6' bed (I'm planning on mounting below the cab roofline). The tent is 225cm (7' 4.5") right? Thanks for the video and for the reply!
