I ride bareback all the time and to be honest, it is not that difficult, just need to relax because once you get rigid, then the horse movement will throw you off. The key is to stay relaxed and keep as much contact with the horse as possible.
Hector Montano you must have good natural balance too! I know plenty of people that are so unbalanced they've fallen off in trot with a saddle and my falls were all with a saddle in trot and gallop over tiny cross pole lol The horse/pony also helps though, I didn't realize what bouncy unbalanced horses I was riding until I rode a few Arabs and I didn't even notice when a couple of them apparently had bolted.
Wow this brings back memories, a friend and I used to gallop along our beach bareback with me stearing and my friend behind me arms tightly round my waist, thanks for allowing me to remember that far back! Keep having fun with your horses it's what it's all about!
That just shows a true bond and trust between horse and rider! I wish I had your guts! I have only galloped once and not through choice either and that landed me in hospital! You keep going lass, you have a true horse right there!
right, i dont know why, but my eyes filled up with tears while i watched this? wow thats sad ahah! Boo just looks so 'free' if you get me, like shes a wild horse in these clips (not like shes naughty just her face she looks so happy:')) she looks like she enjoyed it so so much and you can definitely tell she loves you! the bond you have is literally unreal. i'm definitely going to try this one day:') one of my life ambitions! much love for you and Boo!xx
pause at any second and your's position is perfect. quite good to see that even a rider like you has falls every now and then, but you do even that in the most skilled way ever. you don't lie there for a split second, you start to get up before you finish falling :O
you must have such a good bond with this horse to do that! ... and she must be so comfy :P i am only just used to my pony's bareback canter and I've had her for nearly 3 years!
Congrats to your bravety, humour - and for that fine horse! Oh - and for uploading this video of course. It´s a joy to watch you both! Lovely Greetings from Germany :)
thanks for sharing. I love the way you put your video together, the ethereal magic of being with your companion followed by the "reality segment" LOL nice work!
Beautiful to watch and love the blooper! I'm lucky to get to gallop often on the beach but I'll never he brave enough for no tack..my little cob would dump me straight off!
This is such a great video Lauren, Boo is soooo pretty and you guys have a really strong bond. I find it so interesting to watch your videos, i just love to see good horsemanship i guess :) xoxo
it's actually very easy to sit like that while cantering bareback, if your horse has a good steady stride like this and if they will go in a straight line without any random turns, I can do that on my horse bareback no hands. I would love to do this though, I've never galloped bareback since i don't have a place to. this is my dream tho, bareback and bridleless!! good job on training your horse and staying on so easily!
Nigusi1985 i swear, Elliot (my horse) is the wussiest horse i have ever ridden! he sees water and he's gone. he's so scared of it. he scared the shit out of himself when he was eating grass and accidentally picked up a plastic bag.
***** ouch! thats gotta hurt! i lease Elliot so he's not fully mine. before he was really good with me but then i missed a couple months of riding because i was moving so someone else had to ride him. because of that person they hurt him because Elliot only listens to me. so now Elliot is really bad with Saddles so i always ride him bareback now. which i don't mind, but still, i'm angry at the girl who hurt him. so now i have to start from square 1 again. it really sucks...
***** right?! i'm sorry about your leg, i hope you heal well. and riding bareback is the best! i have been riding for 14 years though so... i'm used to it. you just need confidence and balance. i also have a bond with Elliot that no one else can match to so its good for me. but i'm telling you, riding bareback is painful. especially the day after. you won't be able to close your legs. its very painful.
the fact that you can do this with your horse, then win show jumping classes or jump 1.30m on the same horse really proves something. horsemanship at its best!
beautiful.... I recently rode like that with my horse and it felt incredible... the trust and willingness of the horse to want to e with you is amazing... thumb up
I was beginning to get pretty jealous of you towards the end hehe :P Made me feel better when I saw the blooper and you didn't have perfect balance straight away haha! Your balance and posture is amazing and to die for in the main vid though, well donee! :)
Wow you two are amazing! D you have any suggestion with my horse, he takes off if I ask him to canter in a field, trail, beach anywhere besides the arena.
Great Video! I also lived near the beach for e few years and I often made rides with the horse of my friend, but we where never good (and brave) enough to do THIS.
this is so magical...you've always been an inspiration for me but this?!?!? wow....I hope to one day be able to do something like this....right now I only do it in my dreams haha
i have always wanted to do this, but we live in Michigan and i don't know what beaches allow horses. i researched it but didn't come up with anything. My grey Quarter Horse mare Storm LOVES water so it seems like a good idea. :)
Very impressive. But to those wondering, galloping is rather easy to stay stable as unlike trotting the back of the horse is almost flat and doesn't move up and down alot so its much easier than trotting, still however achieving such balance and control of the horse is exemplary very nice video and such a sweet horse
Wow! I can ride tackless pretty well, but I can't go to the beach and do it. The nearest one is 6 hours away. I have to settle for the mountains and forest. :C
Wow! Lucky lucky girl (both you and Boo!) I wish I could do that on Rosie Roo, but she's bony and I think I'd fall off. Btw, the audio with this is just so suited! :)
Man, I wish I got to do this. But I only started two years back(technically 1 year as I ride once a fortnight) and I'm still on the cantering/jumping stage. Maybe when I'm older I'll get to do this.
that was wicked!! just noticed you were sitting upright, whenever I see people gallop on horses they lean forward. Do you find it easier to balance that way?
omg this is awesome...so breathtaking...i would love to make the same, but here is no sea...:( but this video is soooo amazing...Boo really looks free, like a wild horse and she is very very proud...awesome!!! :)
Can we just talk about how ridiculously good your seat is?
Shelby Dennis god, I know right? So graceful... And I thought I was good.
I love the way you said it ! That's so true.
I liked this video for the shear fact that you're humble enough to show your imperfections as well as your perfections. Nice horse.
My thoughts exactly 😊
Simply stunning! I love witnessing the bond between you and your horse!
Good gracious! How do you manage to sit like that at that speed? Hat off to you!
good question
siggi -she did sit amazingly but there was a fall at the end Haha
I ride bareback all the time and to be honest, it is not that difficult, just need to relax because once you get rigid, then the horse movement will throw you off. The key is to stay relaxed and keep as much contact with the horse as possible.

Well balanced, relaxed riding -- you look like part of the horse.
so this is going on my bucket list
how did you sit that so beautifully
Wow this brings back memories, a friend and I used to gallop along our beach bareback with me stearing and my friend behind me arms tightly round my waist, thanks for allowing me to remember that far back! Keep having fun with your horses it's what it's all about!

WOO HOO! Buddy! That was AWESOME! I can't imagine how amazing that must have felt to ride like that.
thank you so so much for your lovely comment :D xxxx
Omg you are so brave😍 it looks wounderful.
I hope i can Do that one Day with my horse.
You are a role model!!
You and Boo have an amazing bond. You clearly love her and she loves you just as much!!
That fall was magnificent. You rolled like a Hollywood stunt double! PS just wanted to tell you that you and Boo are my TH-cam heroes!
this is truly amazing, your relationship with Boo is such an inspiration!
People who disliked this probably had the computer upside down.
you've come so far with her in just a few months! this is absolutely beautiful, i admire you so much :)
I admire how much you two trust each other, your bond is incredible! :)
You have the most incredible seat I've ever seen!!! You were glued to your horse's back!!!
its really impressive that you have such a strong bond with boo to be able to do this and trust her
you sit so still....how is that even possible?! you must trust eachother so much to do something like this, its amazing
Oh my gosh I can't gallop with a saddle and you sat so well!
right, i dont know why, but my eyes filled up with tears while i watched this? wow thats sad ahah!

That looks amazing. Must feel so free. As for the fall...you styled it out nicely lol.
Freaking amazing, Lauren!!!!
You and Boo have come so far and so quickly!
Amazing job!!!!
I think it's everyone's dream to be able to do this, and you've accomplished it!!! Looks great!
you must have such a good bond with this horse to do that! ... and she must be so comfy :P i am only just used to my pony's bareback canter and I've had her for nearly 3 years!
wow, such beautiful horses...you're blessed. Take care.
Congrats to your bravety, humour - and for that fine horse! Oh - and for uploading this video of course. It´s a joy to watch you both! Lovely Greetings from Germany :)
The end was my favorite :P not because you fell off but because you stood up and looked victorious! lol Great riding!
Love the way you standing up at the end and putting your arms up and be like: yaaeehh im aliveeeeee!
wow this gave me chills...this was perfection! Beautiful! You're both incredible!
thanks for sharing.
OH WOW!!! Gold medal to you, keep the work up!! That’s amazing!!😳🤩🤩
i love the background music. so calming. so spiritual. thank you x
Beauuutiful! I wish I lived near a place like that. Too many trees and bush around where I live.
Can you teach me your ways? Please?! This is amazing. Two-fold bond between horse and rider. Love it! Keep up the great work! : )
Nice dismount! Good double-double and double tuck with a full twist. Nailed the landing!
This is such a great video Lauren, Boo is soooo pretty and you guys have a really strong bond. I find it so interesting to watch your videos, i just love to see good horsemanship i guess :) xoxo
Boo seems to be such a good horse!! She looks so beautiful just galloping on the beach without tack :D
Fair play to you Lauren. The bond you have with Boo is amazing. :)
you look so comfortable and balanced; you and boo must trust each other a ton. i wish i could do this with my horse.
Amazing!! You are a great team with Boo.. And you are a talented rider! :)
You are an AMAZING rider! such a great seat! BTW loved the hands up like "I DID IT BE PROUD!" after you fell lol
what is the background music?
gosh i'm speechless it looks so easy when you do this with boo :o

Wonderful connection between horse and rider!
Der Schluss wahr unglaublich du hast dich super abgerolt und bist in einer bewegung aufgestanden. Respekt !
thats amazing! especially love the last bit!
god i wish i could do this, but my horse is too clumsy. he trips just standing there. i'm not even kidding, he's that clumsy!
Mine would probably be rollin in the water like a big fat golden retriever! she's a dog not a horse!
Nigusi1985 i swear, Elliot (my horse) is the wussiest horse i have ever ridden! he sees water and he's gone. he's so scared of it. he scared the shit out of himself when he was eating grass and accidentally picked up a plastic bag.
***** ooooh i've had that happen before... it really sucks. somehow i managed to stay on... the first time. the second i flew right off lol
***** ouch! thats gotta hurt! i lease Elliot so he's not fully mine. before he was really good with me but then i missed a couple months of riding because i was moving so someone else had to ride him. because of that person they hurt him because Elliot only listens to me. so now Elliot is really bad with Saddles so i always ride him bareback now. which i don't mind, but still, i'm angry at the girl who hurt him. so now i have to start from square 1 again. it really sucks...

omg this was amazing! Your back was like perfect!
I'm surprised you say you have terrible balance! you kept the best seat I've ever seen!
beautiful.... I recently rode like that with my horse and it felt incredible... the trust and willingness of the horse to want to e with you is amazing... thumb up
Grr. Wow she's so fast and you're such an amazing rider! I want to ride like you one day :)
That is absolutely bloody brilliant!! - Just WOW!!!
I was beginning to get pretty jealous of you towards the end hehe :P Made me feel better when I saw the blooper and you didn't have perfect balance straight away haha! Your balance and posture is amazing and to die for in the main vid though, well donee! :)
Wow, your seat was amazing! And your horse is so pretty. :D
I want to do this but I can't find a good unpopulated beach to do it on! I just learned how to jump tackless anyway. Good job!
perfect choice of background music & colour grading!
Wow you two are amazing! D you have any suggestion with my horse, he takes off if I ask him to canter in a field, trail, beach anywhere besides the arena.
I want to try that! But AL has a small coastline and I live in the northern part
Great Video! I also lived near the beach for e few years and I often made rides with the horse of my friend, but we where never good (and brave) enough to do THIS.
This is AMAZING! I wish I could do this! :D Hahaha the blooper at the end was really great! ^-^
this is so magical...you've always been an inspiration for me but this?!?!? wow....I hope to one day be able to do something like this....right now I only do it in my dreams haha

jeeeeez. i couldn't even tackless gallop in a field, let alone a beach! well done, she looks amazing.
Wow! I can ride tackless pretty well, but I can't go to the beach and do it. The nearest one is 6 hours away. I have to settle for the mountains and forest. :C
I love ur horse! He/she is beautiful!

Which tune did you use from the audio files .I'd like to use that one too
great to watch! beautiful horse, lovely rider.
How did you catch her after falling off ?
Wow! Lucky lucky girl (both you and Boo!) I wish I could do that on Rosie Roo, but she's bony and I think I'd fall off. Btw, the audio with this is just so suited! :)
Its amazing how you can trust a horse like this!!

Man, I wish I got to do this. But I only started two years back(technically 1 year as I ride once a fortnight) and I'm still on the cantering/jumping stage. Maybe when I'm older I'll get to do this.
Could I use this and any of your other raws in a video I'm making as long as I credit you and I link the finished product?
You're both as one, united. Such a lovely vid!
You are so still! I'm impressed! Awesome video!
What a beautiful horse!
Your position while your galloping.......so jealous :) you and boo should be in the next Olympics
that was wicked!! just noticed you were sitting upright, whenever I see people gallop on horses they lean forward. Do you find it easier to balance that way?
This looks amazing :D
I'm in love with your position and bond!
Glad to see you wearing a hat, a lot of youtubers arnt nowadays, glad to see you setting a good example!
omg this is awesome...so breathtaking...i would love to make the same, but here is no sea...:( but this video is soooo amazing...Boo really looks free, like a wild horse and she is very very proud...awesome!!! :)
