The reason they do not "Brand" things in the hotels as much is to cut down on costs. People are a lot less likely to strip a room of product just to have the souvenirs if they are not branded to the resort.
Hi Shaun I’m scared of rides , may I have some advice please, I love the look and everything but don’t have much confidence
Absolutely gutted seeing what I've left behind, we was on the 7th floor in the Americana building. We left the day you turned up. Our view was good but was in the direction of adventua and sapphire and up to downtown Orlando. Really want to here your opinion on rip ride rocket- use to love it but felt ruff this time or maybe just got too use to the new amazing ones.

The universal resort is stunning. Volcano Bay's theming is insane, islands of adventure and universal's theming is also extremely impressive. I think the only parks that beat it is maybe Disney, and phantasialand! I'm so excited to head to universal in the near future

😂 it's not 1 alcohol drink per day, it's per time you go up to the bar. To make sure you are not buying drinks for people under 21 years old. ..Too funny.. You 2 are great!
Me and my girlfriend were hoping to go to Florida in Feb 2024 but had to push it back to 2025 cos we’re students and finances. I wondered if you guys would ever do like a complete guide on how to do trips like these in the most cost effective way? Love the vids guys
I’ve just booked to go with my mrs in September 24’ pal, thought we’d found a really cheap deal with tui on international drive but turns out virgin were offering the same deal for £800 less! Keep an eye on prices and see a travel agent so they can tell you what the cheapest day to travel on is. Good Luck!

Loved this hotel. We didn't request a special room but had the perfect view of IOA. Beautifully and consistently themed as well

That drop slide that goes straight down the volcano is BY FAR the most intense ride experience I have ever had - way more than nemesis or hulk or even velocicoaster!!! Must do in my opinion!

Hey, we stay at Cabana Bay every year when we go down for Halloween Horror Nights. Affordable and cool vibe, with views of Volcano Bay. With quick and easy shuttles to the parks, it really adds to the experience. Hope you guys have a great trip. We're actually looking forward to heading back to England and making another visit to Alton Towers.

V05 shampoo was popular in the 1950's and 60's as well as the zest soap.
Yes! The style of the shampoo bottle was what was used then along with Zest. IMO it is a better fit to the resort's theming than a generic shampoo with "Universal Studios" on it. 😀
Stayed here last year for hhn and yes the tubes are pricey but when u give them back they do give you a sealed brand new one to take home so it’s a nice thing to have. Love the videos!!❤🎉

I stayed at this resort a few years ago, it was fabulous. The mid-century theme is really cool and fun, there's good food and the pools are fantastic. It is a bit remote from the main parks, but walkable. You can also take the water taxi after a bit of a walk.
Absolutely love that resort. I’ve got the mug and the beach towel, the merch is beautiful. We booked a volcano view room but swapped it for a family suite which was amazing .
If you booked with virgin you used to get a free ring and a cocktail 🍹.
Missing Orlando this year so much.
We stay in Aventura now and eat at the Bayliner as we live the food there .

Just adding.....there was a Safe in the room, it was in the wardrobe RHS next to the coat hangers. Totally free to use....and tbh most rooms in all the hotels have safes. Very important !!
That view from your room is amazing
We always request the bayside tower since the water park open up and always get the view of the waterpark and the rides on i Drive. You can also see the fireworks from the Magic kingdom and Epcot at night. We have the same floats from the 1st visit and it's a E-Z walk to the water park. It helps that we live 35 mins from Universal and about 20 from Disney. Transporation to CityWalk is super easy and direct. Great video.

We had a volcano view room in one of the towers when we went 2 years ago and loved it. So easy just to walk into a seperate enteance into Volcano bay.
We are getting married at Wedding Pavillion on 6th December and staying here for 11 days at the end of the holiday. Cannot wait! Great to hear a review from a fellow Brit too, we’re from Newcastle, 🤗
I stayed here in 2019 similar room and I remember the drums but we were up at 7am every day anyway as we loved the humidity walking outside at that time then we’d go to the parks! I probably wouldn’t wanna be up at 7 if I did HHN though till 2am hahaha so I get what you mean in that respect

No hotel bloopers today
Hey its not 1 per day. Its 1 per wristband as in not getting multiple at a time. Each person has to be present. Unlike when you get a 'round' in the UK.
All the vloggers (like The Tim Trackers) LOVED this hotel; they all said "much better than the on-site Disney budget hotels" They also liked Sapphire Falls, as you did also. Subbed so am looking foreword to all these vids.

I live and work in the area and My wife and I stay at Cabana Bay for Birthday, Anniversary etc. We love this Resort. The access to Volcano bay is also way better than having to take the bus.

Cabana Bay looks amazing 😍 the last time we were in Orlando we stayed at Endless Summer (Surfside) in a suite & it was great 👍🏻 we were also able to enjoy Volcano Bay 🌋

We stayed in Aventura last year and would highly recommend - it's like a mini Cabana Bay (with less theming and no water park)!! The resort mugs are definitely worth it if you're staying more than a few days and you are like us and need fizzy drinks / coffee on tap!
What we did for the pool lazy river is that we brought our own. Paid 5$ per tube at Walmart. They don't care and you can pump them up with the air hose they provide. You do get to keep the tubes you purchase from them, so its a souvenir but most people don't have a need for a inflatable tube at home. We decided to gift our tubes to a family before leaving and they said they were going to pass them on when they left. We stayed in two standard joining family suites that didn't have a special view. It was at the end of the opposing wing facing out to the parking lot to the north. It was the last room until you were in the other volcano bay tower. We did get a side view of one of the volcano bay thrilling family slides and could watch people go up the big embankment on the slide. It also faced Disney world, though a good distance away, we could watch two firework shows in the distance every night.
You're only allowed to purchase one alcoholic drink at a time. They don't limit you to just one drink per day. That would be insane. They don't let you come up and buy a drink for you and your friends, you can only order one drink for yourself at a time

This is the start of the florida trip! and it is great to start off at cabana bay
We have just come back from a 6-week holiday in Orlando with the kids, The theme park experience was fantastic with the exception of some grumpy staff at Magic Kingdom and Hollywood studios that made the day not so great, but the hotels in the resort were fantastic the best one was the Port Orleans which the staff were awesome but the food we did struggle with.
We have stayed at CBR many times and in both towers with a VB view. We would say the high rooms in the Bayside tower have the best views.
A quick note about the CBR pools and inflatables, if you get to the pool at opening times there are more often or not several inflatables which guests have left on their last day, piled up by the lazy river. Just pick one or two up and they are yours during your stay !

We stayed there for a week before the VB expansion and loved it. We had a room that overlooked the lazy river. We loved the decor too and thought the whole place had a really fun vibe.

We are going back next year for HHN and will be staying in Cabana Bay again 😊

Hi shawn and Charlotte I stayed at Universals endless summer Doc side inn in May this year. It was nice for the budget hotel didn’t really have much food choices. We stayed for 2 weeks there it was ok . I' liked the transportation to and from universal they were great every 10 minutes really good . This hotel looks brilliant I think if I ever go back I'd stay on site . Fab vlog really looking forward to seeing the next vlogs. . Thankyou for sharing with us. 15 min walk is very generous. I walked fast pace and it took 22 mins, its a long walk. Its not worth it typically unless you want to just go for a nice walk, because you will be doing a lot of walking already in the parks. I walked it one morning because I got up before bus or water taxi was running.
Great vlog, we stayed at Cabana Bay last year. We stayed in tower 8 in room 81012. The view was amazing the first night we were there we could see the Epcot fireworks. We could see all of the water slides. We were woken up by the volcano drums on the first morning which was a shock 😂we would 100% want to stay in the same block and floor again. We wish we could send you a room picture for comparison for you. Thanks again keep well all the best Dale and Charlotte

I love florida shawn I been 13 times since 2005 I can't wait to go back haven't been since 2019 miss it so much keep up the good vlogs
We stayed at Aventura back in 2019 (returning this November!!) and our view was amazing, we got the Volcano Bay view too but could see Dr Dooms tower too! We also could see the fireworks at Disney which was amazing!!! As the hotels are next to each other, looks like you had a similar view to us so hopefully you can see the fireworks too - one to look out for!!
Not sure if Universal still do this after covid but we got the Tuk tuk bike once to get to city walk, only had to tip and it was super quick and good experience when the water taxi queues are long!!

I stayed in the tower to the right and had an amazing view of Volcano Bay...the towers are built with a curve, so I think both towers have great views of the water park...

It’s worth it!
The tower views are definitely much better. When we stayed a few years ago, they initially gave us a low floor in that building. We couldn't see anything, so they moved us to a high floor in the farther tower.
Edit: I guess one advantage of the farther tower is that we didn't hear any of the Volcano Bay sounds.

Stayed next door at the Aventura in April. Loved it there. Recommend a visit to the bar there, it has great views. Cabana looks lovely too, bist much bigger.
Hopefully I haven’t missed you actually going to all-stars yet, but if you’re still on your way, I would love to see you go through the food court there because it’s so hard to find anything on TH-cam where people have gone through it and shown proper footage of the food with prices, like you’ve kind of done in this video

What an amazing hotel and their facilities and all the amenities they have on site I would love to go but ad a blinks I might find it hard getting around lol
I’ve stayed at Cabana Bay Beach resort it’s a really nice place to stay at even with Universal so close to it and Volcano Bay so close as well

This is a lovely resort and so much bigger than I imagined it to be. Fantastic view from your room. I’m not a lover of halloween but the theming in the hotel was great. Both pool areas were great and I have never seen so many empty sun loungers at a hotel. The hotel also as so many options with kids in mind , with the arcade and bowling alley. Great weather to start your trip with, thankfully you missed the recent hurricane.

A very useful resort tour - plenty of space, a great view even if a bit of a walk, like the numerous food options too at not outrageous prices, was quite pleasantly surprised when i priced up a week next September, £1200 for 7 nights, but of course lots more to pay, food and entry passes so lots of saving to do just yet

Stayed in April 2023 at this hotel and we stayed in the left tower that has a straight view of the volcano did hear the drums did not mind them but did not have a bath had shower only but had a fantastic time this holiday was delayed 2 years because of Covid have a great time want to return so much but I know I will when I am older have a great time
I went here about 10 and a half months ago and I never realised there was so much in this hotel we had a volcano bay view but spent all day in the parks I didn’t even know you could get breakfast here 😂😂

I was just at Universal today. I'm sure there's some delay between your visit and posting, but darn! Still feel like I just missed ya. It's sad they even have to limit drinks so people don't get trashed and make a fool of themselves in front of vacationing families. But such is the reality of things.
