When I was 8 it happened the exact same thing to me since we didn't have any manuals or internet to learn about the game. After a few days of trying to figure it out I realised I could press Up to go faster, and it became my favourite game.

Was this game REALLY developed by Kojima?? 😲 Man how funny it is that one of the most praised game developers in the world got started making a game about a running penguin. 😅

The games that he was _actually_ involved in were "Metal Gear" as well as "Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake" for the _MSX2._ If you search for "Metal Gear MSX2", then you will notice some very significant differences in that version, such as Snake entering a facility in a way that is similar to his opening scene in "Metal Gear Solid", and also the fact that the somewhat ominous track "Theme Of Tara" plays throughout most of the game. That version definitely has more of that Hideo Kojima feel, IMO, and it also actually has both the Hind D and Metal Gear as bosses.

Most versions of this game are endless, the Game Boy version on one of the 4 Konami GB compilations has the game, and it ends after 2 loops.
