    Derek, You do awesome work, the english wheel has become your friend. Not many people around these parts have learned
    how to master one, came in handy on building motorcycles! Again, great camera work, she deserves a medal.

    Awesome job on the latch setup! On most of these trucks the belt line bead on the passenger door isn't aligned with the back of the cab. The back of the cab belt line is tipped down. It's a factory defect.

    Derek nice work again, also i seen some guys flush fit the doors on these old trucks and that gives it a nice clean look.

      Yes I've seen the flush fit doors, they look very nice when done well. I was trying to stick to the 70's hot rod look on this one so I didn't go with any door mods.

    I finally found a set of doors and they are in similar shape to what yours were.. I'm overwhelmed and not sure just where to start. I've watched your video twice already

      Mike, hang them on the cab and get the inner frame of the door straight and repaired with the body first so it open s and closes. Then work on the outside skins.

      @@coldstreamrodshop the inside are damaged near perfect. I hammered on them slightly but they are pretty good. The jamb on the hinge side are what's scaring me. I'm assuming someone cut the hinges out so I'm not real certain what to save and what to trim

    Just found your channel from one of my subscribers. Looking forward to watching more. It’s hard to get these channels going but I’m learning. Good luck and maybe we can do a video together one day.

      Sounds good! Yes it's hard to get this going. I guess the best thing is to be sincere, have fun and truly like what we're doing!

    Phenomenal work! Thank you for showing how you did things. After seeing this, I'm thankful my doors are in great condition. I'm probably in the minority, but I'm glad you didn't chop it.

    • @coldstreamrodshop
      @coldstreamrodshop  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks! I actually didn't want to chop it from the beginning but also I'm too tall to chop it! I have a hard time looking out the front window of my model A.

    😂 these trucks have little room in them, that's mainly why I sold mine to my dad ! I must have took off my grandpa ! My families in the mid to high 5s, me 6'3 ! There tight ! 😂 but very cool !

    • @coldstreamrodshop
      @coldstreamrodshop  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes you're absolutely right, I'm 6'3" as well and it's tight. This is why we didn't chop it. It was hard to get the gas pedal positioned so I don't get leg cramps too!
