File the turn stops off the top of the rudder. Your servo will thank you and it will turn much sharper. Also brought my turn fins up the max notch. This makes it respond quicker to steering inputs. It wont be quite as locked in in the turns but I like the extra response. Make sure to pull the prop shaft out of the stuffing tube every few runs and clean out the old water logged grease and replace with fresh marine grease. Those bearings have a tough life in there.
I like this boat! Lots of fun. Only thing I don’t like is the black/grayish color. Makes it difficult to see at a distance in the water, and which way it is turning. I ended up installing bright, flashing 3watt led lights to improve visibility
I have one, it fucking sucked before I made a whole bunch of mods to it, lemme explain. When I got it, I took it for a run and it was great, but handled like absolute shit, so I put it away for a while, then I stored the battery with the included (absolute shit) charger and it was all good, then when I took it back out and charged up a battery and tried to hit the throttle, and nothing happened, no throttle no nothing. As for the steering, I had to file off the limit tabs, straighten the U bend out of the steering linkage and trim it, then add zip ties so there’s no more slop in the rudder. Then we come back to the ESC, it was dead, and not responding, so I grabbed an old mamba 2s ESC in a box of crap I have. I’m running that ESC overvolted on 3s and am very excited to see if it works well finally
I've been running an ft011 for the last two summers, it's an awesome machine. The most fun is when you run it on a large river ( the river Main here in Germany) and slam it into the bow waves of barges, which results in huge air time. Also good for chasing jet skis!
@@beyondRC One good tip is to grease the dog bone style joint between the motor and shaft and put heat shrink tubing around it to keep the grease in. Makes it run way more quiet and makes it last alot longer! Excellent content as always btw!✌😊
You need to contact banggood and have them send you a new udi1022 for a review ..it a 25'' work of art selling for $200 that just came out... Its has all metal hardware carbon fiber look,self righting, 120 amp esc,3 or 4s... give it a look i think its the next winner...I am almost positive you will like it big time...
Where is the test of how much water got into it ?? ???? the most important thing! how resistant the speedboat is to keep water out of it .. because that's how everyone breaks down the fastest ..
@@beyondRC they are good but defo need a few out of box checks b4 go on the water .Reinforced the rear of mine as well(the transom) .Not a single drop of water got in today.and outdragged a proboat blackjack and joysway alpha on 4S woohoo!! .
Well, there are better ones around that price point.. volantexrc vector sr80 or udirc 005 come to my mind without thinking alot... Volantex has few od them actually.. You should test some out 😊
@@beyondRC SR80 is great but pro version is a beast.. it cost way more than sr80 but if you throw all upgrades on SR80, at the end it will cost you more than pro for sure..
This boat really sucks,- me and a friend bought this boat 3 years ago,- after 6-7 battery charges,- my boat had a broken propeller and water came inside,- funny was,- my friends boat this the same defect,- 5 mins later 😅🤌🏻…this boat is cheap and really sucks never ever!!! Keep your hands of this! Really it’s the truth everything on this boat which is moving,-is getting broken🙌🏻

Iv still got my Filun ft012 from 2 years ago.. wicked little boat on 3s, on 4s its just nuts. I,ll definitely be adding this one to my collection.

Keep doing rc boats! They are becoming the new rc trend. The Marine tech is reliable compared to past tech.
Will be seeing more boats in the new year now! The winter here in the UK will make it difficult :(

Your turning fins need to be adjusted more downwards. They look to be 45 degrees and should be closer to 90 degrees. Find what works best for you

it will but salt water destroys metal components like crazy! Be prepared to maintain the hell out of it if you do and are brave enough!!
